Discussion:Reverse Vampirism in a Player

So here is the situation. As a DM I want to give one of my player's some cool attributes. What will happen is that he will be captured and taken to a tower. There, he will have all of his blood drained out of him, and have his own blood drained into this jewel. Then his body will be filled with vampire blood, by force of someone making him drink it. A little disgusting, but the idea of this is to come off of it with him having some cool abilities while also having some new weaknesses. I was then going to have the vampire whose blood he drank control him and have him attack the other players. I would probably give him the normal vampire attributes, but I don't know if I should. After they defeat the vampire, I was going to have them either try to cure him or maybe do something else, and have the jewel that his blood is in be kind of like a lich's phylactery. However, I was also going to make it that if anyone ever touched the jewel they could control him, and if a part of a monster was placed upon the jewel, say a vampire's fang, he would either gain the perfect way to defeat that particular being, or gain some of his attributes. I am a little stumped though, so what should I do? Should he be able to be fully healed from the "vampirism" and just have the jewel's effects, or shoul
