Dino-Dino Fruit, Triceratops Model[edit]

"I heard they are incarnations of the sea devil. Supposedly, if you eat one, you will gain devil powers... but the sea will hate you and take your ability to swim!" Devil Fruits are said to be the fruits of the Sea Devil and that the secret to their power is hidden in the Grand Line. Because encounters with them are rare (especially outside the Grand Line), a number of rumors about them have risen, making it difficult to tell whether some things are fact or fiction. Because of their power, if sold they can expect to fetch well over 100,000 GP, and Devil Fruit users themselves are sold at market prices as slaves. Of course, individual Fruits each have their differences in price, dependent on the powers bestowed.

Making a Dino-Dino Fruit, Triceratops Model[edit]

Dino-Dino Fruit, Triceratops Model are in the front of the party and take all the hits, dealing damage to enemies.

Abilities: Strength and Constitution are the most important scores for the Dino-Dino Fruit, Triceratops Model.

Races: Any race that can "eat" the Devil Fruit can become a Dino-Dino Fruit, Triceratops Model. Even inanimate objects can eat the Devil Fruit.

Alignment: Any.

Starting Gold: 4d4×10 gp.

Class Features[edit]

Weapon and Armor Proficiency: You are proficient with all melee weapons and no armor or shields.

Devil Fruit Abilities: When you enter this class, you eat the Dino-Dino Fruit, Triceratops Model that gives you the power of this class. Only 1 person can have this class at any moment. You can wield weapons that are Large and your Unarmed Strike deals damage as if you are a large Monk of your Level in this class. You gain Improved Unarmed Strike as a Bonus Feat.

  • Half-Beast Mode: For a number of times per day equal to your Con Mod. You are in this form for 2d4 + Str Mod rounds. You gain a +4 to both Str and Con. You also gain the following traits.
    • Trampling Charge: (Trait) If you move at least 15ft straight toward a target and then hit it with a gore attack on the same turn, the target takes an extra 4d8 piercing damage, and it must succeed on a Strength saving throw or be knocked prone. If the target is prone, you can make one stomp attack against it as a bonus action. DC = 10 + Str Mod + Class LvL.
    • Gore: (Action) Melee Weapon Attack: Reach 5ft, one target. Hit: 4d8 + Str piercing damage.
    • Stomp: (Action) Melee Weapon Attack: Reach 5ft, one prone target. Hit: 4d10 + Str bludgeoning damage.
  • Beast Mode: For a number of times per day equal to your Class Level, you can become a Triceratops. You are in this form for 1d4 - 2 + Str Mod rounds. You keep all of your mental stats but replace physical stats with SRD: Triceratops physical stats and all of the abilities. Use your own BAB and Base Saves instead of the Triceratops. You also gain the following abilities.
    • Gore. Melee Weapon Attack: Reach 5ft, one target. Hit: 5d8 + New Str Mod piercing damage.
    • Stomp. Melee Weapon Attack: Reach 5ft, one prone target. Hit: 5d10 + New Str Mod bludgeoning damage.

Transformed Physiology: After eating the Devil Fruit, you body starts to change. You gain a +6 Con, a +4 Str, and a +4 natural armor (Add to any if you already have a natural armor). At every even level and beyond you gain a permanent +2 Con and at every odd level you gain a permanent +2 Str. At every 5th level (5th, 10th, and 20th) you gain a +2 AC for your natural armor. You add these bonuses to your Beast Mode Scores and AC. You also gain DR/- every 5 levels (5th, 10th, 15th, 20th, 25th, and 30th)

Improved Devil Fruit Abilities: At 5th level, You wield weapons that are Huge and your Unarmed Strikes are considered Huge as well. You also gain the following improvements.

  • Improved Half-Beast Mode: For a number of times per day equal to your Con Mod. You are in this form for 3d4 + Str Mod rounds. You gain a +8 to both Str and Con. You also gain the following traits.
    • Trampling Charge: (Trait) If you move at least 15ft straight toward a target and then hit it with a gore attack on the same turn, the target takes an extra 6d8 piercing damage, and it must succeed on a Strength saving throw or be knocked prone. If the target is prone, you can make one stomp attack against it as a bonus action. DC = 10 + Str Mod + Class LvL.
    • Gore: (Action) Melee Weapon Attack: Reach 5ft, one target. Hit: 6d8 + Str piercing damage.
    • Stomp: (Action) Melee Weapon Attack: Reach 5ft, one prone target. Hit: 6d10 + Str bludgeoning damage.
  • Improved Beast Mode: For a number of times per day equal to your Class Level, you can become a Triceratops. You are in this form for 1d4 - 1 + Str Mod rounds. You keep all of your mental stats but replace physical stats with SRD: Triceratops physical stats and all of the abilities. You gain extra HD equal to half your normal HD rounded up. You also gain the Half Minotaur template in Beast Mode. You also gain the following abilities.
    • Gore. Melee Weapon Attack: Reach 5ft, one target. Hit: 7d8 + New Str Mod piercing damage.
    • Stomp. Melee Weapon Attack: Reach 5ft, one prone target. Hit: 7d10 + New Str Mod bludgeoning damage.

Greater Devil Fruit Abilities: At 10th level, you gain Tremorsense 60ft as well as the following abilities.

  • Greater Half-Beast Mode: For a number of times per day equal to your Con Mod. You are in this form for 4d4 + Str Mod rounds. You gain a +12 to both Str and Con. You also gain the following traits.
    • Trampling Charge: (Trait) If you move at least 15ft straight toward a target and then hit it with a gore attack on the same turn, the target takes an extra 8d8 piercing damage, and it must succeed on a Strength saving throw or be knocked prone. If the target is prone, you can make one stomp attack against it as a bonus action. DC = 10 + Str Mod + Class LvL.
    • Gore: (Action) Melee Weapon Attack: Reach 5ft, one target. Hit: 8d8 + Str piercing damage.
    • Stomp: (Action) Melee Weapon Attack: Reach 5ft, one prone target. Hit: 8d10 + Str bludgeoning damage.
  • Greater Beast Mode: For a number of times per day equal to your Class Level, you can become a Triceratops. You are in this form for 1d4 + Str Mod rounds. You keep all of your mental stats but replace physical stats with SRD: Triceratops physical stats and all of the abilities. You gain extra HD equal to your normal HD. You also gain the Half Minotaur and Chimera template in Beast Mode. You also gain the following abilities.
    • Gore. Melee Weapon Attack: Reach 5ft, one target. Hit: 9d8 + New Str Mod piercing damage.
    • Stomp. Melee Weapon Attack: Reach 5ft, one prone target. Hit: 9d10 + New Str Mod bludgeoning damage.

Superior Devil Fruit Abilities: At 15th level, your Tremorsense 120ft and the following improvements.

  • Superior Half-Beast Mode: For a number of times per day equal to your Con Mod. You are in this form for 5d4 + Str Mod rounds. You gain a +16 to both Str and Con. You also gain the following traits.
    • Trampling Charge: (Trait) If you move at least 15ft straight toward a target and then hit it with a gore attack on the same turn, the target takes an extra 12d8 piercing damage, and it must succeed on a Strength saving throw or be knocked prone. If the target is prone, you can make one stomp attack against it as a bonus action. DC = 10 + Str Mod + Class LvL.
    • Gore: (Action) Melee Weapon Attack: Reach 5ft, one target. Hit: 12d8 + Str piercing damage.
    • Stomp: (Action) Melee Weapon Attack: Reach 5ft, one prone target. Hit: 12d10 + Str bludgeoning damage.
  • Superior Beast Mode: For a number of times per day equal to your Class Level, you can become a Triceratops. You are in this form for 2d4 + Str Mod rounds. You keep all of your mental stats but replace physical stats with SRD: Triceratops physical stats and all of the abilities. You gain extra HD equal to your normal HD. You also gain the Half Minotaur, Chimera, and Monster of Legend template in Beast Mode. You also gain the following abilities.
    • Gore. Melee Weapon Attack: Reach 5ft, one target. Hit: 13d8 + New Str Mod piercing damage.
    • Stomp. Melee Weapon Attack: Reach 5ft, one prone target. Hit: 13d10 + New Str Mod bludgeoning damage.

Perfect Devil Fruit Abilities: At 20th level, you Tremorsense 250ft and gain the following improvements.

  • Perfect Half-Beast Mode: For a number of times per day equal to your Con Mod. You are in this form for 6d4 + Str Mod rounds. You gain a +24 to both Str and Con. You also gain the following traits.
    • Trampling Charge: (Trait) If you move at least 15ft straight toward a target and then hit it with a gore attack on the same turn, the target takes an extra 14d8 piercing damage, and it must succeed on a Strength saving throw or be knocked prone. If the target is prone, you can make one stomp attack against it as a bonus action. DC = 10 + Str Mod + Class LvL.
    • Gore: (Action) Melee Weapon Attack: Reach 5ft, one target. Hit: 14d8 + Str piercing damage.
    • Stomp: (Action) Melee Weapon Attack: Reach 5ft, one prone target. Hit: 14d10 + Str bludgeoning damage.
  • Perfect Beast Mode: For a number of times per day equal to your Class Level, you can become a Triceratops. You are in this form for 3d4 + Str Mod rounds. You keep all of your mental stats but replace physical stats with SRD: Triceratops physical stats and all of the abilities. You gain extra HD equal to your normal HD. You also gain the Half Minotaur, Chimera, Monster of Legend, and Paragon template in Beast Mode. You also gain the following abilities.
    • Gore. Melee Weapon Attack: Reach 5ft, one target. Hit: 15d8 + New Str Mod piercing damage.
    • Stomp. Melee Weapon Attack: Reach 5ft, one prone target. Hit: 15d10 + New Str Mod bludgeoning damage.

    • Trampling Charge: (Trait) If you move at least 15ft straight toward a target and then hit it with a gore attack on the same turn, the target takes an extra 19d8 piercing damage, and it must succeed on a Strength saving throw or be knocked prone. If the target is prone, you can make one stomp attack against it as a bonus action. DC = 15 + Str Mod + Class LvL.
    • Gore: (Action) Melee Weapon Attack: Reach 5ft, one target. Hit: 19d8 + Str piercing damage.
    • Stomp: (Action) Melee Weapon Attack: Reach 5ft, one prone target. Hit: 19d10 + Str bludgeoning damage.
  • Epic Beast Mode: For a number of times per day equal to your Class Level, you can become a Triceratops. You are in this form for 4d4 + Str Mod rounds. You keep all of your mental stats but replace physical stats with SRD: Triceratops physical stats and all of the abilities. You gain extra HD equal to your normal HD. You also gain the Half Minotaur, Chimera, Monster of Legend, Paragon, and Patriarch template in Beast Mode. You also gain the following abilities.
    • Gore. Melee Weapon Attack: Reach 5ft, one target. Hit: 20d8 + New Str Mod piercing damage.
    • Stomp. Melee Weapon Attack: Reach 5ft, one prone target. Hit: 20d10 + New Str Mod bludgeoning damage.

Final Devil Fruit Abilities: At 30th level, you gain the following improvements and your Tremorsense increases to 500ft.

  • Final Half-Beast Mode: For a number of times per day equal to your Con Mod. You are in this form for 8d4 + Str Mod rounds. You gain a +48 to both Str and Con. You also gain the following traits.
    • Trampling Charge: (Trait) If you move at least 15ft straight toward a target and then hit it with a gore attack on the same turn, the target takes an extra 24d8 piercing damage, and it must succeed on a Strength saving throw or be knocked prone. If the target is prone, you can make one stomp attack against it as a bonus action. DC = 15 + Str Mod + Class LvL.
    • Gore: (Action) Melee Weapon Attack: Reach 5ft, one target. Hit: 24d8 + Str piercing damage.
    • Stomp: (Action) Melee Weapon Attack: Reach 5ft, one prone target. Hit: 24d10 + Str bludgeoning damage.
  • Final Beast Mode: For a number of times per day equal to your Class Level, you can become a Triceratops. You are in this form for 5d4 + Str Mod rounds. You keep all of your mental stats but replace physical stats with SRD: Triceratops physical stats and all of the abilities. You gain extra HD equal to your normal HD. You also gain the Half Minotaur, Chimera, Monster of Legend, Paragon, Patriarch, and +10 Legacy template in Beast Mode. You also gain the following abilities.

Characters with ranks in Knowledge (Arcane) can research The Dino-Dino Fruit, Triceratops Model to learn more about them. When a character makes a skill check, read or paraphrase the following, including information from lower DCs.

The Dino-Dino Fruit, Triceratops Model in the Game[edit]

Most people perceive the Dino-Dino Fruit, Triceratops Model as a Totem Barbarian or a melee Druid.

Adaptation: Does not "Transform", instead has a "spirit" appear behind them.

Sample Encounter: On the sea or mountains, living a peaceful life.
