Devourer, Variant (5e Feat)

Scales.png This page is of questionable balance. Reason: This feat grants infinite healing. Hit points should always be referred to as such, not as life. 18:33, 1 September 2024 (MDT)

Devourer

<You have learned to channel the life energy of your enemies, allowing you to increase your maximum life when you kill them.

When you reduce a creature to 0 hit points with a melee attack, you can absorb some of its life essence.

When you slay a creature, you can choose to temporarily increase your maximum life by an amount equal to the creature's level or CR (challenge rating), up to a maximum of your Constitution modifier + your proficiency bonus. This additional maximum life lasts until you complete a long rest.

Temporary Healing: Additionally, you regain a number of hit points equal to the additional maximum life gained by this effect.>
