History[edit]

Every thing is based on the Destruction of Stinge(DS), the beginning starts approximately -120,000 D.S., Ulenyi was created approx. -30,000 D.S. A * means that one of the three campaign lines start in that period.

Beginning

Approx. -120,000 — -30,000 D.S.

It all started with Simon Drogil, a being from another universe and a powerful wizard, who discovered the plane of Ulen, or Heart, and found his powers amplified a billion times over there. He spent many years learning the size of the plane, the way it fit in with the rest, but never spent more than a month there, for he still desired his home. That all changed when he was out on one such outing and the chain that bound the plane to the rest, the very stuff gods powers were made of, shattered. To this day no one knows what caused it to break, but many suspect that it had to do with an evil deity in the old circle, as the original planes are called. When the chain shattered its powers, needing some where to go, flowed into Simon, turning his near deity power into the power of a real god, making him Heart Simon. Another portion of that power created Asmeus, the Flowing Mother, who Fell in love with Simon the Moment she saw him. They spent many years together before wedding, and on their wedding night they created three things: the material plane, the place of mortals and monsters, the ethereal plane, a place of light and fog, and the plane of shadow, the place where everyone's shadow lives on, even after light has faded. Many months later their first child, Stamely, was born. He grew quickly, being a god, and learned the ways of the world in short time. Their second child was Cormilious, who matched his brothers intellignece, but not his strength. Then their first daughter was born, Faunt, who enjoyed games of guile, not strength. Then Brogey was born, and they knew as soon as he was born that he was different from his other siblings. He grew up to adult hood in 8 days, and started painting murals in the sky. When they spoke to him he'd jump a little at the communication, but then answer your questions or respond to your opinion. Their last child was Conni, who was the most beautiful of the first gods. She soon grew jealous of her sister Faunt, though, and applied her charms for her own gain.

The Great Conversion

After many years of living in happiness, the first strange thing happened. One night, there were lights in the sky. The gods went to investigate, and discovered that these lights were portals, and that somethings were coming through. Simon, though very old and blind by this time, instantly recognized the energy from his home plane, and started to help the other beings tear down the wall. The light was massive, and gave off such great heat, and it touched the very soul of Brogey, and for the first time he grew sane. This is the first of three acounts where Brogey is not completly mad, the last not coming until the end of days. Shortly, with the help of his children, the portal was opened, and 4 beings came through: Hillwere, god of the beasts, Lough, goddess of forest and plant, Jutsiom, goddess of sea and lake, and Bistioul, goddess of the dark sky. They looked around with what seemed relief, and with a quick word of thanks to the gods, they closed the gate. Simon could not believe it, his first chance to get home, gone, without a word. The first through the gate, Hillwere, spoke. He said "We thank you, we are the only ones to get through of the gods before they were taken into dark rest." Simon was confused by this and said "Strange man, what is this you speak of? I reconize you as gods of old, back in my old plane, but I thought the chain was severed. How did you get here, and what pushed to risk destroying my plane?" "We were betrayed. My uncle, Vameril, slowly began to sever the chains that linked the planes, though I know not how. Than, when all the planes were safley detached, he OBLITERATED our world, safe in the haven of one of the severed planes. We tore open the old gate that linked to this plane, the one place we sensed he had no influence. We, it seems dear Simon, are all that are left of the old worlds." Simon was Heart broken, and left his family for some time, leaving his wife in charge. But his children soon fell in love with these outsiders, Stamely with Bistioul, Cormilious with Jutsiom, Faunt with Hillwere, and Brogey with Lough. Conni thought that love was not meant for her, and she spent her days alone. The gods had many years of happiness together, and one day brogey said "The new gods will help them when the time comes." The problem is, no one knew what he was talking about.

The Stars

Until this time, not a single light was in the sky, but Brogey, haunted by the beauty he saw in the portal, could not stand the darkness any longer. He took his brush and his special paint, and he created the first star, Ulenreh, or heart star. It was massive, and the light it gave of immense. But Brogey was not yet happy, he painted more and more, painting billions of stars in the sky. Near the end, growing weary of this, he painted one more thing, a moon, something that would gather the stars light and glow silver for all to see. Bistioul was not happy at the way he defiled her darkness, and stormed off with her husband to some of the dark reaches left in space. Every one else was over joyed at this turn of events. Heart Simon returned and said with a smile, "Looking better and better each day." Brogey seemed to be staring at something that wasn't there. "Its time," he said, "Father, its time for Ulenyi."

Ulenyi

In 2 days, all of Ulenyi came into being. The first day, Heart Simon used his arcane arts to make the shell, the earth and rock, and he created an atmosphere to house the creations of the second day. On the second day, Asmeus took over, and with the help of Lough and Jutsiom, she made the seas and oceans, the rivers that coarse through the land. She made the soil fertile and made plants to grow there. Yes in 2 days the planet was done, but not whole. From here Cormilious, Faunt, Hillwere, Brogey, and even Conni took over. Cormilious made man in all his forms. He made Humans, he made Elves, he made Orcs and dwarfs. He even created Halflings and Gnomes and Goblins and Kobolds and all there like. Then Hillwere made animals and monsters. From dragons to cats, all were his design. Then Faunt gave them the gift of knowledge, which included all forms of life, not just those that were good, as her brother had wished. Then Conni gave the gift creativity, a gift just as important as knowledge. Brogey's gift came last. His was the gift of color. The world suddenly was a bright and happy place, and seeing these colors for the first time in many ages, Simon begged his son to give this gift to all planes. But Brogey denied his father that one wish. He said "The planes ethereal and shadow are to be pure places. Ethereal is a place of lights, and the shadow a place of darkness." Simon surrender to that logic, and never asked for that again. But with the addition of color and life, they brought into being the space between planes; the astral plane.

The Last God Birth

The first of the last. His name his Simon of the Heart, he is the last child of Heart Simon and Asmeus. He is no god. He is the first of a race that would later be known as the heart-reachers. The next born are Suvul and Rebiost, The daughter and the son of Stamely and Bistioul. Suvul loves to craft fine metals into beautiful jewelry for her mother. Rebiost is more into the mining and forging of hard metals, and forges armor for his father. Next comes the two sons of Faunt and Hillwere. Yerfin is light of step like her mother, but still has the love of nature in him. Ti-yul is more barbaric, preferring to smash heads together and uses his strength. The only son of Cormilious and Jutsiom is named Ferim, and Is a stratigist, a warlord of sorts. Brogey and Faunt have one daughter, Faramil, and she trains her body and mind equally each day. After this, the gods decide that its time to take a step back from the main stage and watch how things unfold for those down on Ulenyi.

Flowering Period

Approx. -30,000 — -20,000 D.S. With all the divine settling down, the new beings on Ulen started growing. Simon of the Heart went down to teach the Humans the way of society. The dwarves also learned a little from him, as with the gnomes and the halflings. But the dwarves broke off once he started teaching of how to keep peace, and the gnomes broke off after they learned how to build the simplest cities, and the halflings broke off very early on when they realized just how many rules there were. The humans stuck through it, though, and came out very well rounded. The dwarves were very sturdy and stable, the gnomes more intelligent and inventive, and the halflings care free. During this time, the elves and the bür learned the ways of the wild. While the elves built stationary villages and preserved nature, the bür stayed mobile and bent nature to there will. As a result the elves gained stability and knowledge while the bür gained immunities to the dangers of nature.
