Avernus was one of the first seven demons to ever exist, a group later on known as the Seven Demon Gods. Avernus carries the title of Demon King and represents the raw destructive power of The Abyss and yields raw Abyssal magic at an unrivaled scale. For eons, Avernus was banished to the Caverns of The Lost, but escaped during the Fractured Hour. His symbol of power is the Astral Blade, a blade crafted by the now dead Lord of Chaos. Those who make deals with him are usually demon cultists, those searching for power or seeking ancient and forbidden knowledge.
