Death Burst. When the parasite dies, it explodes in a burst of poisonous gas. Each creature within 10 feet of it must succeed on a DC 11 Constitution saving throw or become poisoned for 1 minute. An affected creature can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success.

ACTIONS

Latch. Melee Weapon Attack: +8 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: The target is grappled (escape DC 12). Until this grapple ends, the grappled creature must make a DC 12 Constitution saving throw at the start of each of its turns as the Decayed Parasite leeches away the vitality of the victim. On a failed save, the creature takes 7 (2d6) necrotic damage. The parasite can only grapple one creature at a time, though a creature can be grappled by more than one parasite.

They say organic matter is preserved in ice, they were clearly mistaken. The Decayed Parasite is just the size of a dwarf's hand, a dark speckled creature similar in appearance to a leech. The few who bothered to report about the creature entail that this creature is part of a hive.
