Crystal Plague (5e Disease)
Crystal Plague[edit]
Contracting Crystal Plague[edit]
Crystal plague can be contracted by failing a DC 15 Constitution saving throw after touching a cursed crystal or a crystal golem.
Effects[edit]
Stage 1. The target has a bad cough, and itchy skin. the target also starts to grow small, multicolored crystals from they're skin. the crystals are fused to the target's skin, and are unable to be removed or broken by any means. After one day, move to stage 2.
Stage 2. The target's skin starts to feel hard, and gains a color the same as the crystals. The target is still growing small crystals, and existing crystals keep growing in length and width. the target loses 2 from their Dexterity score, but gains +1 to AC. After 2 days, move to stage 3.
Stage 3. The target now has trouble moving. they lose 4 from their Dexterity score, and they lose 10 feet of movement speed. the target has +2 AC. due to the crystals length, the target now cannot wear armor. Also, any body parts other than arms and legs (like wings, or a tail) turn into crystal, and break off. After 1 day, move to stage 3.
Stage 4. The target is now fully covered in these large crystals. The target's mouth can no longer open, and is held shut by the crystal. You no longer need to eat, drink, or breathe, as they are now unable to do so. the target's eyes become small, blue crystals, and can no longer blink or close. The target gains a blindsight range of 60 feet, but is unable to detect beyond this radius. after 1 hour, move to stage 5.
Stage 5. The target's illness is in the final stage. Once this stage is reached, the target's mind is lost. The afflicted becomes a crystal golem creature.
