This content intends to provide a different experience, or goes beyond the scope of the anticipated subjects and situations, than the 5e rules were intended to handle. Some portions of the content below may not be what you expect from traditional game content. When implementing this content, DMs and Players should read over all the information carefully, and consider the following specific notes of interest:
This material adds additional prehensile grasping limbs to a character, giving them more usable "hands" than is anticipated by the core rules. DMs and players should be aware that this can allow characters to do things which are normally impossible, such as: dual-wielding two-handed weapons; holding four weapons at once; having a free hand to load ammunition while holding two hand crossbows; the option to hold a shield, sword, and bow or casting focus simultaneously; the ability to grapple with a character and still have free hands to hold weapons to attack them with; the ability to be climb and defend oneself effectively at the same time; and much more. Be careful about who is allowed to use this material, as immature players will likely abuse this to break combat in unanticipated ways. As should be standard, such situations should be dealt with outside-of-game through open communication, but it is often best to avoid the situation in the first place. New players often have difficulties visualizing themselves as another person, let alone another creature with completely alien/foreign anatomy. As such, if a new player is allowed to use this material, they may need some degree of guidance to remember that their character has more than two hands, though it should only take a few sessions to really drive the point home.

Creoboros[edit]

An etymology given by Servius (the late-fourth-century commentator on Virgil)—but rejected by Ogden—derives Cerberus from the Greek word creoboros meaning "flesh-devouring".

Physical Description[edit]

They are malevolent beings who take the form of anthro hellhounds with the addition of a large skull that takes the front and top of the head as well as 2 more limbs and an extra pair of eyes. They have a lot of fur, some have it shorter than others and its color can range from black to pure red. They appear to have snout and canid features but often have claws, toes and other canine parts on their body. They stand on two powerful legs that are capable of reaching speeds higher than humans. While their bodies can manifest as physical, they are spiritual beings who take such form when in the mortal realm, able to access or change their form at will when necessary.

History[edit]

They are planned to become a Cerberus at birth. This process is normally done by having two other hellhound souls fused into one. Instead, he devoured those souls, their flesh and has gained a human-like intellect. One single head, two extra arms and another pair of eyes make for quite a unique surprise. Although quite humane, that same intellect is fueled by lustful desires which come from their humanoid side, usually restrained. But the Creoboros is no mere humanoid, as it is a beast. Those limitations are but mere chains that can be easily broken. To control both their humane and beastly sides, they act similarly to a Succubus/Incubus, studying their arts and skills to the point where they can replicate them to perfection, or at least partially. If the law is too strict, they will attempt to make contracts with other races in order to have full or partial control over them while following the law, even if it means finding loopholes in it.

Attitudes and Beliefs[edit]

Their attitudes are usually manipulative, each of them prefers to keep their true objectives to themselves. Not only that, but they also seem to dislike their own kin, only considering those worthy of their affection or true feelings to be the same ones they enslaved or put under contract.

To put it simply, there are two sides to this creature:

Fiendish: it wishes to cause destruction in pursuit of lust, greed, glory. It will corrupt the humane part when there is some dark desire that is being restricted by reason. If put under some restrictions, this side will likely be the factor in making the Creoboros attempt to find a way out of it, to escape this system with the help of the humanoid intellect.

Humane: this side craves knowledge, law and order but also has the many factors a creature such as a human has, even if repressed: lust, depravity, corruption, greed... And alike, they are manifested to an extreme degree by the fiendish part of the creature.

Creoboros Names[edit]

Male: Anglor, Cerberus.

Female: Lorn, Trifecta.

Creoroboros Traits[edit]

Superior Hellhounds who gained human-like intellect by devouring the flesh of their own kin.
Ability Score Increase. One ability score of your choice increases by 2.
Age. Creoroboros reach adulthood at around the age of 21. They reach immortality at this point, unable to die from natural death.
Alignment. Their fiendish blood calls them towards an Evil or Chaotic alignment.
Size. Creoboros can range from 6 to over 9 feet tall. Your size is Medium.
Speed. Your base walking speed is 35 feet.
Extra Arms. You have a set of second arms. This allows you to use two versatile weapons at full effectiveness, or hold a shield, spell casting focus, or light weapon in them. Any attacks made with the secondary arms are counted as apart of a off hand attack roll if applicable.
Fiendish Origin. The Creoboros is considered both a Fiend and Humanoid, you gain proficiency in intimidation. Due to your monsterous nature, people are skeptical of you and your motives, but due to visibly being different from normal monsters they won’t be hostile unless provoked.
Darkvision. Thanks to your infernal heritage and two extra eyes, you have superior vision in dark and dim conditions. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can't discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.
Devourer of Flesh. As an action, you attempt to devour a target who is charmed, incapacitated, restrained, or otherwise willing. The target must make a Constitution saving throw against your save DC. The DC for this saving throw equals 8 + your Charisma modifier + your proficiency bonus. A creature takes 1d8 force damage on a failed save and half as much on a successful save. This damage increases by 1d8 when you reach 5th level (2d8), 11th level (3d8), and 17th level (4d8). If the target dies, the dm will assign the trait to you via a dice roll, where if there is excess spots on the dice, then the lowest number will be no trait and the highest will let the player choose. For example: say a race has 7 traits, you roll a d8, so the excess spot on the dice would either be a 1 for no trait or 8 for player picking a trait depending on dm discretion. You can use Devourer of Flesh up to a max times equivalent to half your levels rounded up. You can have a max of 2 of these types of traits active at the same time. You regain use of this trait once you complete a long rest.
Languages. You can speak, read and write Common and Infernal.

Select one of the two subraces below.[edit]

Beastly Creoboros (Subrace)[edit]

Enhanced Muscle Mass. Your base movement speed increases to 40ft and only suffer -10ft penalty on difficult terrain. You gain proficency in athletics, and any rolls to grapple a target or throw a object or weapon is done at advantage unless outside of optimal range, to which it will be a normal roll instead of at disadvantage.
Fighting Prowess. Starting from level 3 and then again at level 7, you gain one fighting styles of your choice, you can only have 2 fighting styles max. Fighting styles can be applied to both main weapon arms even if it states it is only holding 1 weapon. You can now also equip two heavy two-handed weapons.

Witted Creoboros (Subrace)[edit]

Witted Tongue. Thanks to your enhanced intellect, you know how to manipulate those who aren’t hostile to you with great efficacy. Gain proficency with persuasion and deception skills. If a target you’re talking to is friendly to you and not aware of your attempts to do either of those skills, you may do the rolls with advantage.
Enhanced Mentality. Take 2 cantrips of your choice from the warlock, sorcerer, or wizard spell list. You may use Intelligence or Charisma as your spell dc for any spell you cast regardless of the class the spell is from. You have Resistence to psychic damage and any rolls to charm you is at disadvantage.
