You animate a medium sized humanoid corpse you have prepared into an undead creature. Once the ritual is complete a Zombie Minion using the Screaming Zombie Minion statblock will be under your control.
During combat, you may give an order for the zombie to attack a target with either its slam or its scream with a standard action. You may only give orders to a single Zombie Minion at a time per standard action, but once a Zombie Minion has been ordered to attack a target, it will continue to attack until that target is destroyed (first moving towards that target if possible), or until you give it a new order. Using a minor action, you may also order the zombie to move to a specific location (and stay there until ordered otherwise), or to follow a target (without attacking). The zombie acts on your initiative.
Outside of combat it can be commanded to carry objects, follow a creature it can see, break something with its bare hands, or do simple chores using simple tools (such as sweeping a floor, fetching water from a well, splitting logs, or stacking wood). It will follow only a single instruction at a time, but it can be instructed to repeat a task until you tell it to stop. An unattended zombie minion will retaliate if it is attacked, but will otherwise ignore anything or anyone unrelated to the single order it has been given.
A zombie minion can only recognize a single creature as its "master" at a time. The master may give a zombie minion to another creature as long as the new master is within sight of the zombie minion at the time. The process of reassigning ownership of the zombie minion takes 5 minutes.
There is no limit to the number of minions a single necromancer may command, but when you attempt to create another minion you incur a -5 penalty to your Arcana check. If your arcana check result is below 5 the ritual fails and the materials are used up, including the corpse.
