Combat Explorer (5e Feat)
From D&D Wiki
Combat Explorer
You’ve set off across the world to find new and exciting challenges, so you’re extra keen to take on any creatures you’ve never fought before. You gain the following benefits:
- The excitement of discovering a new creature propels you to rush into combat. When you roll initiative and can see a creature your character has never fought before, you gain a bonus of +10 on that roll. Named creatures aren't considered new creatures. For example, if you have already fought a vampire, you don't gain this bonus when encountering Strahd for the first time.
- While encountering a new creature, your senses are sharpened, granting you Advantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks made upon seeing that creature, and for 1 minute thereafter.
- When you first turn of combat when you first see a new creature, your movement speed double until the end of that turn.
- You have Advantage on all attack rolls made against a creature you have never seen for 1 minute after rolling initiative for the first time in an encounter were that creature is present.
