College of Soulking[edit]

Bard Subclass

Bards from the college of Soulking use the magic contained in the bardic music to retain their vitality. Their bodies keep animated by their songs and joy even after their own very deaths, and as long as these bards are able to keep playing and singing, they may never meet true death.

Timeless Body

Only thing that keeps you alive is your soul and music! At 3rd level, you no longer age, and are immune to magical effects that cause you to age.

If you spend more than 8 hours without singing or playing an instrument, you lose these benefits until the end of your next rest.

Soul Slide

You summon the power of the underworld! At 3rd level, when you cause damage to a creature using a bard spell, you can spend a Bardic Inspiration die and roll it, causing additional damage equal to the number rolled on the die. The additional damage is necrotic.

Undying Body

Beginning at 6th level, you can hold your breath indefinitely, and you don't require food, water, or sleep, although you still require rest to reduce exhaustion and still benefit from finishing short and long rests.

Soulking

At 14th level, when you are reduced to 0 hit points or is instantly killed, your soul separates from your body, turning you into a ghost and you can instantly take a turn using a reaction. You use the ghost statblock, but you retain your alignment, personality, and Intelligence, Wisdom, and Charisma scores. You also retain all of your skill and saving throw proficiencies, in addition to gaining those of the ghost.

You assume the ghost hit points and Hit Dice. If you are reduced to 0 hit points while in this form, you are destroyed, and can only be brought back to life with a true resurrection or wish spell.

You can use the ability possession on your own corpse, causing you to return to life, with an amount of hit points equal to the amount you had on your ghost form.

Once you use this feature, you can't use it again until you finish a long rest.
