Base Classes[edit]

The following consist of how all of the core classes fit into Aantrinus.

Restricted classes[edit]

Some classes may not work well in the Aantrinus setting. The following are suggested to be restricted.

  • Paladin
  • Clerics

If you plan to add any homebrew content, stray away from classes that rely on a deity of sorts, but all others are fair game. (Note: Druids and Rangers in Aantrinus have no deity. They still draw magic from nature, but they don't get that power from a god.)

Barbarian[edit]

"Violence incarnate, a barbarian could probably take on a vestige if they honed their skills enough." -Katar Trinko, on Barbarians.

Barbarians fit right into Aantrinus, most are born fighters or have learned their brutal ways through necessity. Most of them can be found hunting for their village,

Bard[edit]

"Down the sailor's way, we wish to see the light of day. Hoist the sails, sky pale, out of the bay!" -An old Shenerian shanty.

The bard is often found among large groups of people, their purpose is often to provide morale. They join parties in their beginning years to gather original tales of which they later tell.

Druid[edit]

"Draw from primal nature, snow or not, and you can use to deal great harm, but you can also heal the wounded. Such is how true nature works." -Archdruid Yonder, on Druids.

Druids on Aantrinus draw mostly from the bitter cold of the environment, but they may choose other kinds of elements. Instead of drawing their magic from a divine god, they simply channel their willpower. Druids with an animal companion often choose something fit for the cold environment.

Fighter[edit]

"A simple blade can tear down the mightiest of men." -Iod Brawnfist, dwarven fighter.

A fighter's role in Aantrinus is similar to that of a barbarian. Likewise, they are usually the village hunters. Yet unlike barbarians, they are also more versatile than them, allowing for them to take on a variety of other task.

Monk[edit]

"Why punch once, when you can punch 50 times?" -Katar Trinko, explaining monks.

Monks are the most rare among Aantrinus, they practice an art that has been passed down for centuries. They are only found in adventuring groups, or in their mountain temples.

Ranger[edit]

"As long as we're fighting a dragon and just that, It should be fine." Brando Syon, Halfling Ranger.

The ranger specializes in hunting a particular beast, they are often sought out if a village has trouble. Besides that, they simply hunt for the thrill. Like druids, they also forego drawing their power from a deity, and draw their power directly from nature.

Rogue[edit]

"Now, if I move real sl-" -Last words of Hadvar, Novice Goblin Rogue.

Rouges are the clever scoundrels of society, but a few rise up to join adventuring parties, whether that be out of greed or for glory.

Sorcerer[edit]

"No, My father did not get freaky with a dragon, shut up." -Prandor Frandilock, Dragonborn Sorcerer.

Sorcerers are the result of a fusion in blood between two races. They are rare in most of Aantrinus, and are most often asked questions by commoners.

Wizard[edit]

"Sure, being born with magic is nice and all, but have you ever read a good book?" -Grafidoe, Elven Wizard

A wizard practices the art of the arcane, drawing from a variety of sources to fuel their magic. They are rare due to the lack of records in modern Aantrinus, but if one is able to find the right books, they can make a fierce Wizard.
