Clarent, Variant (5e Equipment)
From D&D Wiki
Weapon (Longsword), Legendary (requires attunement)
Clarent is a longsword with a wide blade. The blade is silver and red, designed similarly to Excaliber. It once belonged to the child of Arthoria Pendragon, Sir Mordred. Mordred Betrayed Artoria and slew her with Clarent. During their combat, Artoria drove Excaliber into Mordred's chest. Both Artoria and Mordred's spirits merged with their respective blades, due to the magical nature of both blade and wielder.
Abilities: Blood Arthur. You can use an action to swing Clarent downwards and speak the words “Clarent Blood Arthur”. When you do so, you unleash a beam of energy in a 40-foot-long beam that is 5 feet wide. All creatures within this line must make a DC 21 Dexterity saving throw. Targets take 8d8 force damage on a failed save, or half as much on a successful one.
Once per day you may summon Mordred from the blade. She is a human, standing about 5’4”. She is slender of build, with blonde hair and blue eyes. She wears a red dress if not in combat, donning silver armor when combat is joined. When summoned, she wields a version of Clarent. She will stay until she is slain, dismissed, or 12 hours pass. This ability resets at dawn.
