Circle of the Manakete (5e Subclass)
From D&D Wiki
Circle of the Manakete[edit]
Druid Subclass
A legendary race with awesome power while in dragon form. Manaketes can turn into dragons. They have high attack and defense. Attacks effective against dragons deal bonus damage to them. They can use physical attacks as well as magic. Exercise caution if you're fighting one up close!
- Expanded Spell List
Your draconic nature allows you access to certain spells. At 2nd level, you learn the sacred flame cantrip. At 3rd, 5th, 7th, and 9th level you gain access to the spells listed for that level in the Manakete Spells table.
Once you gain access to one of these spells, you always have it prepared, and it doesn't count against the number of spells you can prepare each day. If you gain access to a spell that doesn't appear on the druid spell list, the spell is nonetheless a druid spell for you.
Spell Level | Spells |
---|---|
1st | bless, fog cloud |
2nd | dragon's breath, misty step |
3rd | lightning bolt, remove curse |
4th | banishment, sickening radiance |
5th | hallow, wall of light |
- Dragonkin
Starting at 2nd level, your creature type is always considered to be dragon instead of humanoid.
- Dragonstone Transformation
Starting at 2nd level, you can use your Wild Shape to transform into a dragon with a challenge rating as high as 1. You ignore the Max. CR column of the Beast Shapes table, but must abide by the other limitations there.
Starting at 6th level, you can transform into a dragon with a challenge rating as high as your druid level divided by 3, rounded down. When you take this subclass you lose your ability to Wild Shape into beasts.
- Reactive Transformation
When you choose this circle at 2nd level, you gain the ability to use a Wild Shape as a reaction to being attacked.
- Odd Rhythm
At 6th level, Your constantly shifting biology begins to sporadically shift you automatically to avoid danger. On every odd numbered turns since the start of combat you gain advantage on attack rolls and saving throws, and enemies have disadvantage on attack rolls targeting you.
- Wyrmsbane
At 10th level, your draconic blood thickens and your claws sharpen. While transformed using Wild Shape all attacks you make against dragons do additional radiant damage equal to your druid level plus your Wisdom modifier, this damage bypasses resistance and immunity to radiant damage.
- Dragonskin
At 14th level, your draconic blood has manifested in full causing fine scales to form on your body in response to damage. You gain resistance to bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing damage from non-magical weapons.
