Circle of Masks (5e Subclass)
From D&D Wiki
Circle of Masks[edit]
Druid Subclass
Not all druids choose to live in the wilderness. Members of the Circle of Masks know that people are also a part of nature, and chose to protect it by integrating into communities and influencing them for the better. Circle of Masks druids are deeply empathetic and believe that nature and society can be beneficial to each other, seeking to guide them both towards harmony.

Master of Diguise[edit]
When you choose this circle at 2nd level, you gain proficiency with either the Disguise Kit or Sewing Kit.
Humanoid forms[edit]
At 2nd level, your deep connection to humanity grants you the ability to take on different humanoid forms. When you use your Wildshape ability, you can choose to transform into a different playable race instead of a beast. The length of the transformation is the same as a regular use of Wildshape. The following restrictions apply:
- You cannot transform into constructs or undead, and cannot transform into races/subraces that already have a shape-shifting ability, such as eladrin elves, changelings, or shifters.
- You can only have one form per race. The first time you transform you transform into a race that has different subraces, pick one and use only that subrace's traits.
- Your body morphs into the race you chose. Your facial features may stretch to fit the bone structure of the race, but you retain recognizable physical traits. You retains the same skin, eye and hair color, provided they exist in the race you chose. For example, if a human turns into a goliath, their skin will change to a monochrome shade, an elf turning into a white dragonborn will gain white scales regardless of their initial appearance, etc.
- Your transformed form has an age equivalent to yours; if you are considered middle-aged for your race, you will appear middle-aged in the target race as well. Your new form can have a different biological sex than your own.
- When you transform in this way, you must forgo the ability score increases and abilities granted by your base player race, but retain your Intelligence and Wisdom scores, your languages and your proficiencies. You also retain any features granted by your class and other sources.
- You gain the ability score modifiers, speed, size, and racial abilities of the race you chose, as listed in the table below. You do not learn languages or proficiencies, and if a race grants a bonus to Wisdom or Intelligence, it is not applied.
- If you learn a cantrip as part of a transformation, you unlearn the cantrip when you revert to your original form. If a race allows you to use a spell as part of a racial trait, you can only cast the spell through that trait. Wisdom is your spellcasting ability for these spells.
- Your HP total is not affected by this transformation. If you are reduced to 0 Hit Points, you revert to your normal form, and remain unconscious.
- Your equipment doesn’t change size or shape to match the new form, and any equipment that the new form can’t wear must either fall to the ground or merge with it. Equipment that merges with the form has no effect until you leave the form.
At 2nd level, you can transform into three races of your choosing. You can learn three additional races at 4th, 8th and 12th level. You can only transform into races that your character has seen before.

Adaptable Equipment[edit]
At 6th level, you learn the spell Shape Bond. Once per day, you can cast it at 3rd level and ignore the initial material components if you are the target of the spell. You must still provide the material components required for rare items.
Knowledge of the People[edit]
At 10th level, your experience in various bodies helps you understand others. You gain proficiency in Insight. If you already have this proficiency, you instead gain expertise.
Enhanced Humanoid Forms[edit]
At 14th level, you have honed your humanoid transformations. When you transform into a different race, you keep your own racial ability score modifiers and add them to the ones granted by the race. Your Intelligence and Wisdom ability scores remain unaffected.
Additionally, your HP total increases by 20 for the duration of the transformation. If the race you transform into has a Constitution modifier, you also add that number to your HP total for the duration.
