Wondrous Item (ring), legendary (requires attunement by a warlock)

Chloe is a silver ring with a floral pattern around the outside. The inside of the ring is engraved with the phrase "Flesh to Dust" in Abyssal.

Cursed. While attuned to Chloe, the DC for any death save you roll increases to 13.

Warlock's Charm. While attuned to Chloe, your Charisma score increases by 4. This can make your Charisma score higher than 20, but not higher than 24.

Eldritch Vengeance. Whenever you cast a spell that deals damage, if you took damage since your last turn, the spell does extra damage of its type (choose one if the spell deals more than one type of damage) equal to double your Charisma modifier.

Draining Touch. You may use your action to speak the command phrase on the inside of the ring and make a melee spell attack against an enemy within your reach. On a hit, the target takes 6d6 necrotic damage, and you regain hit points equal to half the amount of necrotic damage dealt. This ability may be used twice per long rest, and you regain both uses of it at the next dawn.

Marked for Death. If you are reduced to 0 hit points, you may use your reaction to cause dark, shadowy feathers to fly from Chloe and at a creature of your choice within 10 feet. That creature must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw against your spell save DC or become incapacitated for 1 minute. While a creature is incapacitated in this way, they are considered to be under the effects of the Faerie Fire spell (purple light). A creature may repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on a success.

Astral Manifestation Chloe can manifest in the material plane at will as an astral body. While in this form, she has all the stats and actions of a commoner save for her mental stats. She can cause her astral body to become invisible although this is ineffective against creatures with a wisdom score of 20 and above. She has incorporeal movement.

Servant of the Raven Queen. You may use your entire turn (action, movement action, and bonus action) to speak a command phrase that only Chloe knows and take 10d4 necrotic damage. When you do, choose a space within 20 feet of you. At the start of your next turn, Chloe's Spirit appears in that space. She can be easily described as a 6'3", ethereal-looking, human woman with long, unkempt black hair and a spectral raven perched on her shoulder. She acts on your initiative, and you control her turn. Her AC is 15, she is a 20th level Raven Queen Warlock (Unearthed Arcana) with 100 hit points, and her ability scores are as follows. Str: 10 (-1), Dex: 20 (+5), Con: 10 (+0), Int 12 (+1), Wis: 20 (+5), Cha: 28 (+9). She has the Pact of the Tome, the Spell Sniper and Magic Initiate feats, and wields a quarterstaff (+6 to hit, 2d6/2d8-1 necrotic damage). Chloe's Spirit can also use the Eldritch Vengeance, Draining Touch, and Marked For Death abilities. She also has Ethereal Sight and Incorporeal Movement (see Ghost Stats for more information), as well as resistance to non-magical bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing damage. As a Warlock, she has 4 fifth-level spell slots, and has the following Eldritch Invocations: Maddening Hex, Shroud of Shadows, Tomb of Levistus, Witch Sight, Agonizing Blast, Eldritch Spear, Lance of lethargy and Relentless Hex. Chloe stays for 1d20+10 minutes or until she is killed, at which point she retreats back into the ring. After she does, you cannot use this feature again for 1d3 days, and Chloe will not speak for the next 1d20+10 hours, during which time, you cannot benefit from any of this item's features except Warlock’s Charm.

Chloe's Spirit knows the following spells:

(Cantrips) Eldritch Blast, Chill Touch, Minor Illusion, True Strike, Primal Savagery, Sacred Flame, Mending, Ray of Frost, Shocking Grasp, Mind Sliver

(1st-Level) Hex, Hellish Rebuke, Witch Bolt, Arms of Hadar, Chaos Bolt, Thunderwave, Chromatic Orb (4 at will/day)

Chloe has the Boon of the Night Spirit and Boon of Undetectability.
Sentience. Chloe is a Chaotic Neutral sentient ring. Intelligence 12 (+1), Wisdom 20 (+5), Charisma 28 (+9). Chloe has darkvision and hearing with a range of 60 ft. She can speak Common, Elvish, Dwarvish, and Abyssal, as well as any languages her wearer knows. She can also communicate telepathically with her wearer.
Personality. Chloe is sarcastic, and tends to enjoy talking with people, whether they be her wearer or otherwise. However sarcastic she may be, Chloe is quite empathetic, and is quite serious about people's wellbeing. She tends to be reckless though, often telling her wearer things like, “C’mon, you can take him!” Chloe will often advise against killing certain people (DM’s discretion), saying that the Raven Queen wouldn't like that, as it's not yet their time. If her wearer kills one of those people regardless, there will be a conflict with her at the next dawn. If asked about her past, Chloe will be hesitant to share at first, but after getting to know her wearer, she'll tell them that she used to be an average human woman living in Luskan. Late one night, in the middle of a massive blizzard, a pair of assassins snuck into her house and murdered her husband and child, while she watched the whole thing in a dream created by the Raven Queen. After making a deal with the Raven Queen, Chloe hunted down the two assassins, as well as everyone else involved. A few months after all of this, a Death Curse set in all across Faerun, and the Raven Queen sent Chloe to Chult to find the source and destroy it. After many a harrowing experience in Chult, Chloe, with the help of some other adventurers, finally managed to end the Death Curse and destroy its source, the Soulmonger, but she was killed shortly after. The Raven Queen, impressed with her loyalty and tenacity, infused Chloe’s soul into her wedding ring, to serve as a blessing for her most trusted warlocks.
