Divine Being. Chien-Pao can't be surprised and can't be changed into another form against its will.

Sword of Ruin. Chien-Pao emits an aura of ruin in a 30-foot radius around its swords. Creatures inside this aura that aren't Chien-Pao have their armor class reduced by 5. The remove curse spell, or similar magic can be used to suppress this effect for 10 minutes.

Cursed Rejuvenation. When Chien-Pao is reduced to 0 hit points, the snow and ice that make up its body disperse, leaving its swords behind. These swords are magical and cannot be destroyed under normal circumstances. Chien-Pao comes back to life with all its hit points in 1d10 days, unless a dispel magic, remove curse or similar spell is cast at 7th level on the swords.

Immortal Nature. A Chien-Pao doesn't require air, food, drink, or sleep.

Magic Attacks. Chien-Pao's attacks are considered magical for overcoming resistance and immunity.

ACTIONS

Multiattack. Chien-Pao makes two Sacred Sword, Throat Chop or Ice Spinner attacks.

Ruination (1/Day). Chien-Pao causes dark, cursed energy to befall a creature within 30 feet of it, causing their current hit points and hit point maximums to be halved until they finish a long rest.

Sacred Sword. Melee Weapon Attack: +11 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 19 (4d6 + 5) slashing damage. The damage from this attack cannot be reduced.

Throat Chop. Melee Weapon Attack: +11 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 15 (3d6 + 5) slashing damage and the target must succeed on a DC 18 Constitution saving throw or be unable to speak for 1 minute. An affected creature can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success.

Ice Spinner. Melee Weapon Attack: +11 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 15 (2d6 + 5) slashing damage plus 7 (2d6) cold damage, and any spells sprouting from the ground in a 30-foot radius are dispelled, such as black tentacles, entangle, plant growth or spike growth.

REACTIONS

Ice Shard. As a reaction to rolling initiative, on an initiative count of 20, Chien-Pao may make a Ranged weapon attack with a +11 to hit, reach 30 ft., one target. Hit: 6 (1d4 + 4) piercing damage plus 2 (1d4) cold damage.

LEGENDARY ACTIONS

Chien-Pao can take 3 legendary actions, choosing from the options below. Only one legendary action option can be used at a time and only at the end of another creature's turn. Chien-Pao regains spent legendary actions at the start of its turn.

Curse. Chien-Pao casts bestow curse on a creature within 30 feet of itself. This version of the spell does not require concentration and ends if a creature is 30 feet or further from its caster.
Control Snow and Ice (Costs 3 Actions). Chien-Pao controls snow and ice in a 30-foot radius, shaping it into any form they wish. Using this action, if Chien-Pao moves snow or ice into a creatures space, they may force them to make a DC 16 strength saving throw, being knocked prone, restrained and taking 9 (2d8) bludgeoning damage on a failed saving throw. A creature takes half as much damage, and isn't knocked prone or restrained on a successful save.

Chien-Pao, the Ruinous Pokémon

Chien-Pao resembles a leopard made of snow and ice, with saber-teeth made from twin sword blades. This construct was formed from the hatred of every soul slain by the being's cursed swords.
