Chargeblade (5e Equipment)
From D&D Wiki
ChargebladeMartial Melee Weapons
The chargeblade is a versatile weapon, offering two forms; sword and shield, and greataxe. Each form has a unique set of abilities. When in sword and shield form, the shield grants a +2 bonus to AC the sword stores damage in phials, which can be used to charge both the sword and shield. As a bonus action on the user's turn, he can choose to charge either his sword or his shield, gaining either a +2 to AC until the start of his next turn, or dealing 1d6 additional bludgeoning damage on all attacks this turn. If there is an elemental enchantment placed on the chargeblade, this additional damage becomes that damage type. Each time he lands an attack in sword mode, he charges one phial (maximum of 5 phials). When in greataxe mode, the phials can be used to create a large, explosive attack. As an action, the axe can be slammed down in front of the user, creating a shockwave in a 30 ft cone in front of the user. On a successful Dexterity save (DC 8 + proficiency bonus + Strength modifier), a target within the cone takes only half damage. This deals 1d6 bludgeoning damage per charged phial. If there is an elemental enchantment placed on the chargeblade, this additional damage becomes that damage type. As a bonus action on any turn the weapon is in greataxe form, the user can make an attack with the axe, dealing an additional 1d6 damage bludgeoning damage. If there is an elemental enchantment placed on the chargeblade, this additional damage becomes that damage type. Back to Main Page → 5e Homebrew → Equipment → Weapons |
