Chancekin[edit]

Physical Description[edit]

Chancekin are usually humanoid however due to their random nature their appearance can be quite confusing they might look like a roughly humanoid mound of flesh or like a spiral of colors and lights each one look different from any other some might have fur while others will be entirely hairless their appearance as with everything else about them is random

History[edit]

Chancekin are being of pure randomness unpredictability and chaos many fear them due to their unusual appearance and abilities. They often will try to help others but due to their random nature often cause more problems then they solve

Society[edit]

Chancekin are usually solitary in nature however they will attempt to help others if they see them in danger

Chancekin Names[edit]

Chancekin often have many names they change between however many allow other to simply call them by one name although these name are often nothing more than random sound put together

Chancekin Traits[edit]

A race of beings born from randomness and chaos with highly unpredictable powers
Ability Score Increase. You may increase one score of your choice by 2 and one other score of your choice by 1
Age. Chancekin may live for 1000 years or they may live for only 1 day
Alignment. Chancekin can be nearly any alignment however they are never lawful
Size. Chancekin can vary widely in height and build, from only 2 feet to well over 8 feet tall. Your size is Medium.
Speed. Your base walking speed is 35 feet.
Life of Chaos. Your very existence is constantly shifting. Every 24 hours roll 1d12 and consult the table below to see which effect you have.
Random Luck. Once per long rest you may roll 2d20 on any attack roll ability check or saving throw you then flip a coin if it’s heads take the higher number if it’s tails take the lower
Uncontrollable Attacks. On any successful attack you may choose to flip a coin if it’s heads deal 1d6 bonus damage but take half that roll as bludgeoning damage. If it’s tails reduce the damage you deal by 1d4 and fall prone
Unpredictable Movements. Any time you take damage you may choose to flip a coin as a reaction if it’s heads you take 1d4 less damage. If it’s tails you take 2 extra damage and are knocked prone
Languages. You can speak, read, and write Common and one other language of your choice.

2 Your ac is cut in half for 24 hours
3 Your movement speed is halved for 24 hours
4 You glow casting bright light in a radius of 5 ft and dim light for 10 for 24 hours
5 For 24 hours each time you attack flip a coin on heads add 1d4 fire damage to your damage on tails you take 1d4 fire damage
6 Flip a coin on heads you gain plus 2 to your attack rolls on tail you lose 2 on your attack rolls for 24 hours
7 You gain dark vision for 24 hours
8 Flip a coin on heads you gain advantage on attack rolls on tails you get disadvantage on attack rolls for 24 hours
9 You gain 5 ft of movement speed for 24 hours
10 You gain 2 ac for 24 hours
11 You gain 10 max hp for 24 hours
12 The next time you are reduced to 0 hp but not killed outright you instead go to 1 hp this can only happen once. This effect can last for 24 hours
