The Chained Arms Merchant is a person of infamous legend, said by many to be an avatar of the god Igu-Rab-Ichi. The merchant usually appears to be male, dressed in rather shabby clothes that resemble dark rags stained in blood. Bandages wrap his arms and feet as he does not have gloves nor shoes. His face is often obscured by a ripped hood. Some who have glimpsed his face say it is scarred and he has long, red hair and golden eyes. This merchant wanders Grisaire carrying an exquisite amount of treasures that make up for his shabby appearance. He sells weapons of even magical varieties. His mundane goods are also noted to be very fine make. His magical wares are reserved for special patrons, though the mundane weapons are freely provided if someone has money. His prices are also usually much higher than that of the local smithy. However, his presence is more of a legend, as he seems to vanish and appear around the world only when he so pleases in random towns and cities. His longest recorded absence can be as long as a century.

The weapons he sells are known as "chain arms," supposedly having been forged in the Gate of Chains. As a result, they all come with an additional cost that added to this merchant's infamous streak. Even the cheapest and least impressive of his nonmagical stock is able to inflict bloodlust on the wielder.
