Medium beast (caterpile), unaligned Armor Class 11 (Natural Armor)
Damage Resistances Bludgeoning, Piercing, and Slashing from Nonmagical Attacks Caterpile Attack. The Caterpile can take the unique "Caterpile Attack" action on one of its turns. It cannot perform this action again until completed a short or long rest. Slug Body. TDue to the size and build of the Caterpile, it cannot take the Dash action, and cannot increase its speed beyond 20 feet or have a swimming speed unless it is granted through magical means. ACTIONSCaterpile Attack. The Caterpile may use this action on its turn after moving 20 feet in a straight line, and can go over tiles occupied by creatures size medium or smaller in order to use this action. Every creature within 5 feet of the line must make a DC 12 Dexterity saving throw. On failure, the creature takes 7 (2d6 + 2) bludgeoning damage, or half as much on a success. Slam. Melee Weapon Attack: +2 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 4 (1d4 + 2) bludgeoning damage.

A weak version of the Caterpile creature. They typically are found in grasslands, coastlines, and caves. Due to their large bodies not being able to carry themselves too well, they cannot move very fast whatsoever. That doesn't stop them from claiming the lives of the unwise, though. |
