Carcass Shot (5e Equipment)

Cost: 10 gp

Typically designed for cannons, though versions could conceivably exist for any ranged siege weapon, a carcass, also called an incendiary shot, is a large, hollow projectile typically filled with a mixture of saltpeter, sulfur, rosin, sulfide of antimony, tallow and turpentine. Upon impact, the shell shatters and ignites the filling, lighting a targeted area ablaze.

Immediately after making an attack with a ranged siege weapon loaded with a carcass, each creature in a 10-foot radius of the target must make a DC 15 Dexterity saving throw, taking 11 (2d10) fire damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.
