Buffs&Debuffs (Duality&Dice 5e Homebrew)

A part of the Duality&Dice 5e Homebrew, powerful hinderances/enhancements to enemies and allies alike, which are stronger than the basic conditions.


Buffs List[edit]

Deadeye[edit]

  • Lasts 1 round.
  • Reduces the critical hit requirement by 1 stage. (20>19>18>17>...)
  • When hitting a critical hit while having the Deadeye Buff active, the duration of the Deadeye buff increases by 1 round, and the critical hit requirement goes down by 1 stage.

Ensured Victory[edit]

  • Lasts 1 round.
  • When landing a killing blow, grants an immediate turn, increases duration by 1, and grants the Deadeye buff.

Radiant[edit]

  • Lasts 2 rounds.
  • Increases damage dealt by 20%(rounded up).
  • This buff can be stacked up to 10 times to a total of 200% damage increase.

Nightvision[edit]

  • 60ft range.
  • Creatures see darkness as if Bright Light.
  • Blinded if active within Bright Light.

Blossoming Bud[edit]

  • When dealing damage, heal 20% of damage dealt(rounded up) to a maximum of 10% of your maximum hit points(rounded up).
  • When receiving damage, heal an amount equal to your proficiency bonus worth of hit dice.

Divine Arrow[edit]

  • Lasts 5 rounds.
  • All successful attacks on a creature below 50% hit points(rounded down) will be critical hits.
  • Grants a +5 to hit.

Unkillable[edit]

  • Lasts 1 round.
  • When reduced to 0 hit points, you are instead dropped to 1 hit point.

Debuffs List[edit]

Bleeding[edit]

  • DoT Effect.
  • 2 round duration.
  • Deals 5 Slashing damage at the end of turn.
  • Stacks up to 20 times, resets duration when reapplied.
  • For every 10 stacks, increases damage taken by 5%.

Blaze[edit]

  • DoT Effect
  • 2 round duration.
  • Deals 15 Fire Damage at the end of turn.
  • Stacks up to 40 times, resets duration when reapplied.
  • For every 10 stacks, reduces damage dealt by 5%.

Blitz[edit]

  • DoT Effect.
  • 2 round duration.
  • Deals 20 Lightning Damage at the end of turn.
  • Stacks up to 50 times, resets duration when reapplied.
  • For every 10 stacks, reduces initiative by 1.

Batter[edit]

  • DoT Effect.
  • 2 round duration.
  • Deals 10 Bludgeoning Damage at the end of turn.
  • Stacks up to 50 times, resets duration when reapplied.
  • For every 10 stacks, reduces AC by 1.

Blind[edit]

  • DoT Effect.
  • 2 round duration.
  • Deals 15 Bludgeoning Damage at the end of turn.
  • Stacks up to 40 times, resets duration when reapplied.
  • For every 10 stacks, reduces + to hit by 1.

Blank[edit]

  • DoT Effect.
  • 2 round duration.
  • Deals 10 Psychic Damage at the end of turn.
  • Stacks up to 30 times, resets duration when reapplied.
  • For every 30 stacks, inflicts Disadvantage on all hits.

Bullet[edit]

  • DoT Effect.
  • 2 round duration.
  • Deals 15 Piercing Damage at end of turn.
  • Stacks up to 40 times, resets duration when reapplied.
  • For every 10 stacks, reduces Dexterity Saves by 1.

Blight[edit]

  • DoT Effect.
  • 2 round duration.
  • Deals 5 Necrotic Damage at end of turn.
  • Stacks up to 50 times, resets duration when reapplied.
  • When reaching 50 stacks, inflicts Soul Distortion and resets stacks. Soul Distortion can only be applied once per short or long rest in this fashion.

DoT Vulnerability[edit]

  • Lasts 2 rounds.
  • Increases the damage dealt by DoT effects by 25%.

Frozen[edit]

  • Lasts 2 rounds.
  • The creature is transformed, along with any object it is wearing or carrying, into a solid frozen statue, ceasing it's aging and its weight increases by a factor of 2.
  • The creature is incapacitated, can’t move or speak, and is unaware of its surroundings.
  • Attack rolls against the creature have advantage.
  • The creature automatically fails Strength and Dexterity saving throws.
  • The creature has vulnerability to Fire, Force, and Bludgeoning damage.
  • The creature is immune to poison and disease, although a poison or disease already in its system is suspended, not neutralized.

Dissociation[edit]

  • Lasts 2 rounds.
  • After the Dissociation Debuff ends, deals cold damage equal to half damage taken while Dissociation was active plus 5% of maximum hit points.

Imprisoned[edit]

  • Lasts 3 rounds.
  • The creature cannot take Actions, Bonus Actions, Reactions, Free Actions, or use its Movement.

Ratio[edit]

  • Lasts 1 round.
  • Automatically hit and automatically fails all saving throws by the creature that inflicted Ratio.

Staggered[edit]

  • Lasts until the start of your next turn.
  • Lowers AC by double the proficiency bonus of the inflictor.

Skewered[edit]

  • Lasts 2 rounds.
  • Decreases movement speed to 0.
  • Disadvantage on all attack rolls.
  • Creature can attempt to escape by using their action to make a DC25 Strength check, ending the Debuff early.

Soul Distortion[edit]

  • Lasts 5 rounds.
  • Creature cannot receive any form of healing while the debuff is active.

Horny[edit]

  • Lasts 10 rounds.
  • You can't think straight. At the start of every turn roll a d20. On a 14 or lower, you lose your turn and falter under the weight of your mind. Otherwise nothing happens.
