Boundary Forger
Artificer Subclass
- Arcane Overload
At 3th level, By plugging into an advanced electronic device, your mind is temporarily enhanced, allowing you to process information at astonishing speed, perform complex calculations instantly, and enhance your analytical and perceptive abilities. During the time the enhancement is active, you can make critical decisions with superhuman speed and accuracy. However, when the device is powered down and its power is drained, your mind suffers the consequences. Overuse causes extreme mental fatigue, leaving you vulnerable, slowing your thinking and decreasing your ability to concentrate until you recover. As an action you can now cast spells and use cantrips of all kinds, but you must spend an amount of life equal to the spell's level to activate it. In addition, you can infuse any technology you have created with your spells and the duration of your infusions is doubled. This ability lasts 1 minute, after the minute you are unconscious for 1 day due to knowledge overload.
You regain all uses of this ability after a long rest.
- Physical Overload
At 5th level, Using a special device of your invention, you manage to temporarily amplify your strength and physical resistance beyond human limits. As the energy of the device flows through you, you become a torrent of power, capable of incredible feats of strength, resist damage that would normally make you fall, and move with unmatched agility and speed. However, when the device's power runs out, your body pays the price. Extreme muscle fatigue takes over, reducing your mobility, strength, and ability to react until you fully recover. As a bonus action until the end of combat, when you hit with equipment or technology you've created, you gain temporary hit points equal to the damage dealt. If you score a critical hit, you can double the damage as a reaction. After combat, your body is paralyzed for 1 day.
You regain all uses of this ability after a long rest.
- Metabolic Overload
At 9th level, by activating a device of your creation, you drastically accelerate your body's metabolic processes, increasing your regeneration and ability to heal wounds. During the time the device is active, your body becomes capable of rapidly recovering from injuries, resisting disease, and metabolizing nutrients at an astonishing rate, granting you superhuman vitality and energy. However, this unnatural pace comes at a cost. When the device shuts off, sudden exhaustion hits your body, leaving you exhausted, with noticeable physical weakness and an extreme need to rest and replenish energy.
As an action: This ability lasts for 1 minute and then you remain immobile for 1 day.
You add your Intelligence mod to any skill check, attack and damage check, or save.
