Book Basher (5e Feat)
From D&D Wiki
Book Basher
Prerequisites: Wizard
Most Wizards prefer to stay far back from the frontlines of combat, but for some reason you’ve decided to get right up in your enemies’ faces and beat them in with your spell book.
- Your spell book may be used as melee weapon. When you make an attack with your spellbook, you add your proficiency bonus and strength modifier to the roll. The spellbook's damage is 1d4 Bludgeoning, plus one for every level of spell slot you have. a 5th-level wizard with 3rd-level spells would deal 1d4+3 damage
- During a long rest, you may give up the use of 1 spell slot to increase the attack damage of your spell book equal to the slot’s level. This sacrifice may be undone or switched to a different slot during other long rests.
- When you score a critical hit with you spell book, the next spell you cast is cast as if coming from a spell slot 1 level higher, up to a maximum of a 9th-level spell slot.
- Once per long rest, if you spell book is destroyed it automatically and instantly repairs itself.
