Bolt, Firework (20) (5e Equipment)
Cost: 35 gp Small, metal-tipped fireworks designed to be loaded into a crossbow. Rather than utilizing the bowstring of the crossbow, which would invariably strike the bolt unevenly, causing the firework to veer wildly off course, firework bolts are launched using their own propellant, starting slow before accelerating to the speed of a normal bolt. A crossbow attack using a firework bolt has disadvantage against a target within the crossbow's normal range, but does not have disadvantage from a target being within its long range. On a hit, a firework bolt deals an additional 1d6 fire damage. A fired firework bolt can not be recovered after battle. |
