Bokken

Simple Melee Weapons
Weapon Cost Damage Weight Properties
Bokken 2 gp 1d4 bludgeoning 2 lb. Finesse, Versatile (1d6), Special

A smooth, wooden sword with a dull edge. Bokkens are often used for training, but they can still do real, and often more subtle, damage. Depending on the degree of craftsmanship that went into its construction, the hilt may be anything from a thicker portion of the carving to a full guard and wrapped hilt. While little more than a club in the hands of the untrained, in the hands of a master a bokken can be nearly as dangerous as an actual blade.

Sword Practice. If you have proficiency with greatswords, longswords, or scimitars, you gain a +1 bonus to damage rolls with bokkens.

Mastery: Sap. If you hit a creature with this weapon, that creature has disadvantage on its next attack roll before the start of your next turn.
