More information...

Before you stands a large, bulky, dark skinned human-like beast with reddish tattoos covering every inch of his body that is not covered my his armor. Poking above his back are many many axe shafts. As you draw nearer he pulls two axes out from behind him and throws them — one of the axes he threw was so large you are not sure that even you could fight with it. While the first two axes are still spinning in the air coming closer and closer he pulls out two more axes, repeating the process. You have barely had time to breath.

Bokiin axe masters are lawful creatures from Acheron. They are generally very stoic and only feel for one thing — battle.

Bokiin axe masters are generally larger than humans, standing about 6 and a half feet tall and weighing about 220 pounds.

The Bokiin axe master presented here had the following ability scores before racial adjustments and Hit Dice ability score increases: Str 12, Dex 15, Con 14, Int 8, Wis 10, Cha 13.

Combat[edit]

Bokiin axe masters will normally engage anyone that they see as a threat in battle. Also, if a Bokiin axe master sees a fight that is in progress they will feel obligated to rush in and fight (see Call of Battle). Bokiin axe masters hunger for battle.

Typically Bokiin axe masters can last an entire battle only throwing axes and not running into melee combat because all of a Bokiin axe masters axes are enchanted with Returning. A Bokiin axe master will throw 4 axes into combat and by his next turn all his axes will have returend to him, ready to be used again in the next round.

Bokiin axe masters will never run into melee combat; they prefer to stay at the fringes and throw axes into the combat in quick succession. Bokiin axe masters will typically get within 10-20 feet of their opponent before they attack them. They do this because they have large problems with range increment penalties. Bokiin axe masters do not mind throwing axes into combat as they have learned how to keep their aim while in combat (Precise Shot). Of course if the enemy gets to close a Bokiin axe master will have no problems going into hand to hand combat while keeping an axe in both hands. If enganged in a melee battle they will either use Shatterspray, or try to intimidate an opponent. Typically once they have used Shatterspray, they will finish off their opponent then continue throwing axes at the remaining enemies.

Shatterspray: A Bokiin axe master can summon forth a spray of debris from their home world, no one knows how they learned this technique, but it is certainly a sight to behold. Once a day as a full-round action a Bokiin axe master can summon forth debris. This debris deals 1d10 points of damage to anyone hit by it. They debris can be manifested in one of two ways: either it hits all opponents in adjacent squares (and the Bokiin axe masters square, but it does not harm the Bokiin axe master) or in a 15ft. cone expelled in a chosen direction. A character can make a Reflex save (DC 15) for half damage.
