Blood Mage (5e Feat)
From D&D Wiki
Blood Mage
Prerequisites: Level 10, Ability to cast at least one spell
You can use your own life force to fuel your magic. You gain the following benefits:
- When you cast a spell of 1st level or higher, you can choose to take damage equal to the spell’s damage. If you do, you cast the spell at one level higher than normal, without expending a higher-level spell slot. You can use this feature once per turn.
- When you are reduced to 0 hit points by a spell or an attack that deals necrotic damage, you can make a Constitution saving throw with a DC equal to the damage taken. On a success, you drop to 1 hit point instead, and you can immediately cast a spell of 2nd level or lower as a reaction, without expending a spell slot. You can use this feature once per long rest.
