Black Weapons (3.5e Equipment)

From D&D Wiki

Black Weapon: This weapon can transform into any weapon with which it has made physical contact for at least one minute per level of enhancement(e.g. +5 = 5 minutes). On creation the Black Weapon automatically knows all weapons without an enhancement bonus. After having had made contact with a weapon it takes a free action to transform into it. This copied weapon has the enhancement bonus but no enchantment on it. Also it is made out of the same material.

When the Black Weapon is drawn, the created weapon seems to be coming directly out of your hands and while copying any other weapon the Black Weapon forms a black case around the weapon. If striking unarmed with the Black Weapon untransformed you count as 2 size categories larger when calculating damage or grapple scores. This means that any weapon damage is rolled as if the weapon was two size categories larger and you are the fitting size.

Regarding thrown weapons the Black Weapon counts as a telporting weapon and if neccessary creates arrows, which are destroyed in the round after they've made contact with any object except for air. The created arrows have no enhancement bonus on them, but it can be applied if the Black Weapon has learned how to transform into an enhanced arrow by using the previously mentioned process.

While wearing this weapon your strength is improved by 6 and your constitution by 4. The Black Weapon cannot be taken off through any means lesser than a wish and still works in an antimagic field.

A Black Weapon cannot be broken and if you lose your grip onto it, it disappears. While only worn and not transformed it looks like a tattoo that covers at least as much space as your own handprint on your preferred underarm.
