Let them come, I have more than enough pets to keep them busy


The Masters of the summoning arts the Battle Caller can summon beasts both celestial and damened regardless of their alignments.

Becoming a Battle Caller[edit]

Those who are Obsessed with the summoning arts usually follow the line of Battle Callers

Class Features[edit]

All of the following are class features of the Battle Caller.

Spells: To cast a particular spell, you must have an Intelligence score of at least 10 + the spell's level. Your bonus spells are based on your Intelligence.

You cast spells as a Sorcerer does. Below are the spells a Battle Caster learns as they progress:

1st—Summon Monster I, Summon Natures Ally I, Summon Undead I.

2nd—Summon Monster II, Summon Natures Ally II, Summon Undead II, Summon Swarm.

3rd—Summon Monster III, Summon Natures Ally III, Summon Undead III.

4th—Summon Monster IV, Summon Natures Ally IV, Summon Undead IV.

5th—Summon Monster V, Summon Natures Ally V, Summon Undead V.

6th—Summon Monster VI, Summon Natures Ally VI.

7th—Summon Monster VII, Summon Natures Ally VII.

8th—Summon Monster VIII, Summon Natures Ally VIII.

9th—Summon Monster IX, Summon Natures Ally IX.

Weapon and armor Proficiencies: Battle Callers are proficient with the club, dagger, heavy crossbow, light crossbow, and quarterstaff, and with light armor at 3rd level

Telepathic Link: A Battle Caster has a telepathic link between them and what ever they summoned allowing mental communication between summoner and summon to occur instantaneously.

No Materials: No materials are needed to cast spells from the Battle Caller spell list but the casting time is doubled. (Standard Action > Full round, ect.)cannot be used in conjunction with rapid cast

Rapid Cast (Summons): Cuts the summoning time of any summons you cast down by half. (standard action > swift action, full round > Standard, ect.) cannot be used in conjunction with No Materials

Campaign Information[edit]

Playing a Battle Caller[edit]

Combat: A Battle Caller's roll in combat is to provide distractions and shields for their allies to use when needed

Resources: Battle Caller's usually belong to the Mages Guild or some other wizarding organization

Battle Callers in the World[edit]

Usually a Battle Caller would be found around the world living their lives and training their skills, or in an army ready to defend their friends from death with the aid of divine or damned creatures

NPC Reactions: Many are apprehensive of the Battle Caller due to their abilities to call up on celestial creatures as well as the undead without restrictions to their alignments

Battle Caller Lore[edit]

Characters with ranks in Knowledge (Arcane) can research Battle Caller to learn more about them. When a character makes a skill check, read or paraphrase the following, including information from lower DCs.

21 a Battle Caller can suddenly speed up their summoning.
