Badger Lord[edit]

"This is not your fight. This one was written long ago on the wall behind my father. It must be." - Boar the Fighter, Mossflower

Physical Description[edit]

Badger Lords are larger versions of your everyday badger, standing and walking like that of a person. Their physiology is otherwise exactly the same as your everyday badger other than their stronger builds, allowing them to do everyday business among people.

History[edit]

Badger Lords emerged from the Feywild decades ago, and in that time they have spread across the world, seeking out caverns and mountains within which to practice their forgecraft. However, as time has gone on, they have left their caves and mountainous homes and lived among more civilizations and people, leading them to adapt to their new civil environments.

Society[edit]

Badger Lords live in small family groups, most often as a mated pair of male and female, one or two elders and a child. They almost never join forces with other Badger Lord families, even in battle. Within the family, however, they have strong bonds doing whatever they could for even a single member of their family. When two families or more do meet, such as when one finds new territory near another, they tend to slowly join together. The exception is when young females of one family are cast into the wild at their thirtieth birthday, to find a mate in another family. Families often attempt to fulfill the prophecies scratched by their ancestors into the walls of their dwellings.

Badger Lord Names[edit]

Badgers are often named after weapons, metals, and ferocious animals of their homeland. However, some take on names given to those within the civilizations they live in.

Male: Boar, Tiger, Wolf, Sunflash, Greattree, Clein, John, Aaron

Female: Silvermace, Goldenaxe, Gem, Bronzeflail, Mooncave, Susan, Alisha, Maribel
