Weapon (long sword), legendary (requires attunement by someone proficient with longswords)

It is a simple looking long sword, with no major characteristics. It has a simple hilt attached to a light silvery blue blade. The atomizer of decimation is a dull sword, so to speak. However, this sword possesses immeasurable magical power. The blade has the capacity to instantly destroy the undead. The true power of this blade is unknown, although it is said that it has been used to prevent cataclysmic events in the past.

This longsword is normally found as a +0 sword and starts with 1d12-1 charges. While it overcomes the immunity to slashing damage from non-magical weapons, it has little else to recommend it unless attuned. The sword gains 1d2 charges each day at dawn while you are attuned to it. This sword has a maximum of 100 charges and loses one charge each day at dawn if nobody is attuned to it.

As an attack, you may spend a charge and make an attack roll. The sword counts as a +1 magic longsword and deals radiant instead of slashing damage for this attack.

Holy bomb Once attuned and as an action, you may drive the blade of this sword into the ground and expend all of it's charges. An powerful burst of magic rips from the blade. Each undead creature within 500 feet of you must make a Constitution saving throw with a DC equal to the number of charges used, divided by four. On a failure, the undead are instantly destroyed and cannot be raised again except by true resurrection. On a success, they take Xd12 radiant damage, where X is the DC of the holy bomb.

Lost to time No wielder can successfully activate the Holy Bomb ability of this sword more than once. A second attempt directs all of the sword's power into the wielder. Make a Constitution saving throw with a DC equal to the number of charges used, divided by four. On a failure, the wielder is instantly destroyed and cannot be raised again except by true resurrection. On a success, the blade shatters into a number of shards equal to the DC (minimum of 5) For each shard the sword breaks into, the sword deals the wielder 2d12 force damage. The pieces of the sword are scattered across the plane, and it cannot be reforged for 100 years.
