The following artifact essentially turns anyone who has it into a god. Its true purpose is to be the focus point of an entire adventure that will decide the fate of the world (like the One Ring from Tolkien's novels), so consult your DM whether or not it should be included

The Command Block[edit]

Wondrous Item, Artifact, Mythical

Out of all artifacts that have ever existed in Minecraft, the Command Block is by far the most powerful. It takes the appearance of a beige, rather simple-looking computational mainframe with multicolored lights blinking in the center of each face, or that is the alleged description of it. No one knowd who created it, but one version of the Great Ancients' war with the piglins states they created an extremely powerful artifact to banish the piglin race into the Nether, and cursed them to never leave it. Realizing the power of this artifact, they then locked it away in a secret and very secure vault, never recording its whereabouts to ensure it remains out of everyone's reach. To this day, most people think it is only a myth, but there are some avid believers who proclaim its existence.

The Command Block is heavily intertwined with the fabric of reality, and because of this, it has the power to do anything. Create a number of copies of a legendary weapon? Yes. Summon 10,000 mindless soldiers at the user's control? Certainly. Instantly kill the toughest monster in Minecraft? Done. Make an entire civilization disappear in minutes? With ease. Erase Minecraft and all of the surrounding planes? Why not? Because of the dreadful power the Command Block wields, those who believe in its existence fear the day it is rediscovered, if not have that fear at the back of their mind. The End Times Prophecy in Minecraft states, "- the End Times will begin when the Command Block is found."

How to Use[edit]

Unlike the rest of the artifacts on this list, the Command Block is not worn or wielded. Instead, it must be placed. Pressing the centermost light on the top face will bring up an arcane interface with an input, complete with a spectral keyboard. The user can then use the keyboard to input instructions in the interface, then execute them by hitting the enter key. The Command Block only understands Ancient Java, so if the user tries inputting a command using any other language, the Command Block will be harder to command. However, if the requirement is met, the Command Block will follow the instructions and make it happen with ease, be it conjuring an item or make an entire landscape disappear.

It takes up to three actions (Activate interface, input command, and wait for effect) and a DC 25 Wisdom Check to issue one command (the Wisdom check is only necceccary if the user dosen't know Ancient Java). An additional action is required for each additional command the artifact should execute, and then they will happen all at once.

If the user wishes to move the Command Block, they can press and hold the center light on the top face, and after three seconds, it will turn itself into an item ready for collection. In this state, its interface cannot be used, and will only regain its abilities once it is placed back down.

Beneficial Properties[edit]

Unlimited number of wishes with no limits, provided the user knows the Ancient Java language. Even the gods can't stop you.

Detrimental Properties[edit]

Depends. If the user is a masochist, he/she can program the Command Block to make something bad happen to him/herself. Also, if the user is careless or does not know what they are doing, they might cause a lot of damage to Minecraft itself.

Destroying the Command Block[edit]

The Command Block is made of indestructible materials found in bedrock, meaning nothing in the universe, mundane or magic, can harm it. However, since it can do literally anything, the user can input instructions to make the Command Block "delete" itself. If it executes such a command, it will disappear in a puff of smoke, never to be seen again.
