Armor Overview[edit]

The Elden Ring Setting handles armor similar to the Partial Armor system. A creature's base AC is 10 + their Dexterity modifier. A creature may wear one of each armor field: one helm, one pair of gauntlets, one leg armor, and one chest armor. If a creature is wearing any armor with the heavy property, they may not add their Dexterity modifier to their AC. There are five damage types: physical, magic, fire, lightning, and holy. Physical damage encompasses bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing damage. Magic damage comes from sorceries and spells which inflict magic damage, and come either as fire, lightning, or holy damage. Some armor sets provide specific resistances and debuffs to specific damage types, recorded as follows in the absorptions section in the table below.

Astrologer Hood 1000 runes +1 -1 damage from Magic, Fire, Lightning, and Holy 1.7 lbs.
Azur's Glintstone Crown 10000 runes +1 -2 damage from Magic, -1 damage from Fire, Lightning, and Holy 3.6 lbs. +3 bonus to Comet Azur, Glintstone Cometshard, and Comet attack rolls, at the expense of those spells costing an extra spell slot.

Black Dumpling 100 runes +0 N/A 2.7 lbs. If the wearer has suffered from madness for at least 2 turns, they receive a +2 bonus to their attack and damage rolls.

Briar Helm 5000 runes +1 -1 damage from Physical and Fire 5.1 lbs. When you succeed on a Dexterity saving throw and you are in within 10 ft. of a creature, you may move within five feet of said creature using your saving throw as the attack roll against their AC. On a hit, you deal 1d4 Piercing damage. If you also have the Briar Armor, this damage goes up to 1d6.
Bull-Goat Helm 5000 runes +2 -3 damage from Physical, -1 damage from Magic, Fire, Lightning, and Holy 11.3 lbs.
Carian Knight Helm 5000 runes +1 -1 damage from Physical, Magic, Fire, and Holy 4.6 lbs.
Cerulean Tear Scarab 5000 runes +1 +2 damage from all sources 5.1 lbs. The amount of spell slots your Flask of Cerulean Tears grants is increased 1.
Chain Colf 1000 runes +1 -1 damage from Physical and Fire 3.8 lbs.
Champion Headband 1000 runes +1 N/A 2.7 lbs.
Cleanrot Helm 2000 runes +1 -1 damage from Physical, Magic, Fire, Lightning, and Holy 6.4 lbs.
Commoner's Headband 100 runes +1 +1 damage from Physical, -1 damage from Magic, Fire, Lightning, and Holy 1.4 lbs.
