Arcane Battlefiend (5e Feat)

Scales.png This page is of questionable balance. Reason: Even with disadvantage on most saving throws (which can be at least partially negated by using 3/5 new cast a spell actions to cast Resistance), being able to fire off, say, 24 eldritch blast rays because of one feat is not the kind of balance we should strive for.

You can help D&D Wiki by better balancing the mechanics of this page. When the mechanics have been changed so that this template is no longer applicable please remove this template. If you do not understand balance please leave comments on this page's talk page before making any edits.

Arcane Battlefiend

Prerequisites: Charisma and Wisdom scores above 16
You are a war-hungry magician, an arcane battlefiend. Your thirst for war matches your mastery of spells.

When you take this feat, you learn a cantrip of your choice from the sorcerer spell list.

In addition, you gain the ability to cast cantrips without requiring any actions, provided that it has a casting time of 1 action or less. You may cast cantrips in this way a number of times equal to half of your spellcasting ability modifier(rounded up) per turn. Your thirst for battle however, has a drawback; a severe stress on your body. You have a permanent disadvantage on all Strength, Dexterity and Constitution saving throws (excluding concentration saving throws). This disadvantage cannot be removed in any way.
