Anjanath are large predatory brutes that prowl dense forests and jungles in search of prey, consisting of anything smaller than itself. Aside from breeding, anjanath tend to keep to themselves, marking their territory with their mucus and viciously defending it should another anjanath or large predator invade. The Nose Knows. Besides its considerable physical strength and endurance, the anjanath has an excellent sense of smell, which far surpasses its rather lacking eyesight. This keen smell stems from its sophisticated nasal crest, which extends when aroused, to increase air intake. Furthermore, it developed incendiary glands in its throat and nasal cavities, igniting its saliva and mucus, creating an improvised flamethrower-sneeze. |
