Animated Toy[edit]

"You must take good care of your toys.
Because if you don't, we'll find out, Sid.
We toys can see everything...
...so play nice."

- A particularly vengeful toy.

Physical Description[edit]

Toys vary wildly, there are a few main assumptions though. The toy has arms, a way to move (wheels, feet.), and can hear and see. Check your DM if you wan't to make a different lay out and change stats accordingally

History[edit]

As toys don't have a particular history we'll be talking about the process about animating them. The magic of animating a toy is a very subconscious process that happens over the course of weeks to months or even years. The very first spark of life invested into the toy happens early but there are a few requisites before that even happens: The toy is valued dearly by the owner, the owner is/identifies themselves as a child. The toy will have a low sentience at this point, hearing, seeing and remembering stuff but not being able to think or even act.

The seconds step happens slowly as the toy becomes more and more sentient along the way, particularily emotionally charged moments (the toy being gifted from one owner to another ((whether good or evil)) hypercharge their sentient, one such event though must happen before they become sentient enough to be animated.

Society[edit]

Though toys don't have any societies some of them (such as former playmates) may band together after the awakening, whether to find their owner or to be found by a new one, there doesn't seem to be anything special associated with these bonds though.

Animated Toy Names[edit]

Toys' names depend more on their appearance and behavior than their assigned "gender", a toy has a much broader sense of name than a humanoid.

Examples: Male: Woody, Snowball, Teddy, Mr Rag Female: Raggedy Ann, Jessie, Fluffy, The particularily brown one.

Animated Toy Traits[edit]
