Simple Melee Weapons

Two-Handed

Weapon Prof. Damage Range Price Weight Group Properties
Guisarme +2 1d6 10 gp 8 lb. Polearm, Light Blade Reach, Tripping, Dismount

The guisarme is a peasant's polearm, developed from attaching a pruning hook with a long spear. It is useful for dismounting horsemen and pulling the legs out from under foes, but lacks the stopping power of a spear.

Reach

You can attack enemies that are 2 squares away from you as well as adjacent enemies, with no attack penalty. You can still make opportunity attacks only against adjacent enemies. Likewise, you can flank only an adjacent enemy.

Tripping

The guisarme can be used to make a tripping attack.

Dismount

The guisarme can be used to make a dismount attack.
