Attack entry wrong?[edit]

The entry lists the attack as bite +3 (1d6+3). The dog has a BAB +1 and str 15 (+2). No relevant feats. I get the bite +3: +1BAB, +2 Str modifier. What I don't get is the 1d6+3 damage roll. 1d6 bite, +2 str modifier, ok. Where does the +1 come from?

Compare to wolf: BAB +1, str 13(+1), Weapon Focus: Natural Bite +3 melee (1d6+1)

Bite +3: +1BAB, +1 Str modifier, +1 Weapon Focus; bite 1d6 + 1(str modifier) - seems correct here.

What am I missing? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 141.101.70.114 (talkcontribs) 2012-01-29 04:08. Please sign your posts.

An attack with a primary natural weapon uses the creature’s full attack bonus, and its damage includes its full Strength modifier (1-1/2 times its Strength bonus if the attack is with the creature’s sole natural weapon).
