In the forgotten times, after the great war between Heaven and Hell, Vargach altered Valgora and gave dominion over it to the crafty ape he called man. And to each generation was born a creature of light and a creature of darkness. And great armies clashed by night in the ancient war between good and evil. There was magic then, nobility, and unimaginable cruelty. And so it was until the day that a false sun exploded over Sykuin, and man forever traded away wonder for reason.

Campaign Setting

Zaratarga is the name given to a recently discovered ruined city within the Rendigo Reservoir. The city spans at least roughly 19 square miles and would have been the largest known city in existence when it flourished. From current excavating, it appears the inhabitants of the town either left or died abruptly for unknown reasons or by unknown causes.

Excavated Ruins

So far excavators and adventurers have only been able to delve into about two square miles of the ruins.

Mapped Ruins

A few stout adventurers have ventured beyond the properly excavated ruins to begin mapping the surrounding areas for future excavation. These areas can still pose great natural harm to those within them as the safety of the standing structures has not been verified.

Unexplored Ruins

Most of the city still lies in its sprawling ruined state within the jungle. Home to unknown creatures and untold treasures.
