This small, bright green amphibian sits near a small puddle. As it notices you, it quickly leaps into the water.

These statistics describe a small frog about 2–5 inches in length such as a tree frog or a leopard frog. They feed off of small insects.

Combat

Frogs hide from any potential threat. If discovered, they will attempt to run until they can hide again.

Great Leap (Ex): Frogs possess incredibly powerful hind legs that allow them to make Jump checks without getting a running start at no penalty.

Skills: Frogs have a +8 racial bonus on Climb and Jump checks. Frogs can always choose to take 10 on a Climb or Jump check, even if rushed or threatened. A frog uses its Dexterity modifier instead of its Strength modifier for Climb checks.

Frogs as Familiars

A frog may be selected as a familiar. The master of a frog familiar can hold his breath underwater for a number of rounds equal to four times his Constitution score (rather than the usual two times his Constitution score).
