Fire Warrior of The Lost

Fire warriors are masters of magic and combat who combine the two to devastating effect, imbuing weapons with magical fire and capping their spells with combat feats, making them among the deadliest warriors of the forgotten ones. They are most adept at close combat, but those who have studied extensively and fought numerous battles often gain the ability to unleash devastating spells while in the heat of battle.

Class Features

All of the following are class features of the Fire Warrior of The Lost :

Proficiency

The fire warrior gains all armor and shield proficiencies if not obtained as a fighter as well as simple and martial weapon proficiencies. A Fire Warrior may not use exotic weapons even if they are proficient with them.

Armoured Caster

The Fire Warrior spends much of their time learning to cast spells with deadly efficiency despite being encumbered by even heavy armours. This ability allows a Fire Warrior to cast arcane spells while wearing armour with arcane spell failure reduced by 15%.

Fire Weapon

At 1st level the Fire Warrior has the ability to constantly channel arcane energies through their weapon giving it the effect of being a magical weapon with +1 enchantment and bestows an additional 1d3 fire damage on melee attacks made with it. The enchantment and damage granted by fire weapon is added as an additional enchantment to already magical weapons. Fire weapon's effect is ended when a weapon leaves the hand of the fire warrior or when he/she picks up any weapon. This counts as a passive metamagic ability. At every other level after 1st (3rd, 5th, 7th and 9th) the enchantment increases to +2, +3, +4 and +5 and fire damage increases to 2d3, 3d3, 4d3, 5d3 respectively.

Fire Armour

At 2nd level Fire Warriors can wreath themselves in lurid flames which gives them an effective +1 AC against enemies susceptible to fire and deals 1d4 fire damage to any creature that comes into contact with them. This ability may be activated or suppressed at will.

Spellstrike

At 6th level a Fire Warrior may channel spells through their weapon as a minor action causing them to activate when they successfully land a hit. Any spell may be channeled through a Fire Warrior’s weapon, but it must be declared before the attack roll is made and uses a spell per day as normal. If the attack hits the spell is triggered immediately afterward, however if the attack misses the spell fails and still uses a spell per day. Targets for the spell must be chosen before the attack roll is made and cannot change during an attack. If a spell targets an area then it targets the area around the creature hit by the attack and may damage or affect the fire warrior.
