Forged from the remains of a qilin, an illuminated beast, this magical bow is imbued with the power of ice. Colder than the peak of the tallest mountain, any who disrespect its wielder, will know the wrath of the adepti.
Liutian ArcheryThe user of this bow may choose to fire mundane arrows that deal piercing damage. The damage of these arrows scales with level. At level 1 the damage is 1d8, the damage increases to 1d12 at level 5. The damage increases again to 2d8 at level 10, and again to 2d12 at level 15. Concentrated ColdThe user may use their bonus action to imbue the arrow with the chill of the highest peaks of Jueyun Karst, converting and increasing the damage of the arrow to the cold element. The cold damage addition scales based on level. At level 1 the cold addition is 1d4. At level 5 the cold damage increases to 1d8. At level 10 the cold damage increases again to 1d12. And finally at level 15 the cold damage increases to 2d8. Rapid FireWhen you make an attack with this weapon, if your Dexterity score is greater than or equal to your target’s Dexterity score, you may make two normal attacks against that target for every attack you would normally make. These attacks do NOT include Concentrated Cold or Frostflake Bloom. Cryo ResonanceWhen you make an attack with this weapon against a character previously afflicted with cold damage, you score a critical hit on a roll of 18–20. Frostflake BloomThe user may forfeit their movement and instead spend the time focusing their energies, the user may then fire an overloaded arrow from the bow that will explode on impact. In addition to the previous arrow damage, all creatures in a 5-foot radius from where the arrow landed must succeed a DC [20-LVL] Dexterity saving throw or take [LVL]d6 cold damage or half on successful save. Winter's EmbraceWhen the user successfully strikes a target with the Frostflake Bloom, the next turn the target has disadvantage on all cold-based saving throws. File:BowOfLiutia.png Bow of Liutia |
