D&D Wiki has recently been upgraded, and the old skin is too far out of date to continue with. As such there are now a lot of issues. Please collect issues that you find at this page. — Blue Dragon

Weapon (revolver), artifact (requires attunement by a creature proficient with all martial weapons)

This midnight black revolver has an unsettling darkness to it - even though it never gets dirty, always maintaining a pristine polished appearance, light refuses to reflect off its surface. Upon closer inspection, its mechanisms make no sense at all - its cylinder has no chambers for holding cartridges, and there is no way to load it.

Death Shot. Black Death has six charges. While you are wielding it, you can use your action and expend 1 charge to fire it. When you do so, a 300-foot long line of black energy that is 1 foot wide erupts from the gun, tearing apart everything in its path. All objects, including magic items that aren't artifacts and creations of magical force of Huge size or smaller within the line are automatically obliterated. Objects or creations of magical force of Gargantuan size or larger within the line are partially disintegrated where the area of the line crosses the object. All creatures within the line automatically take 300 points of force damage, which cannot be reduced or ignored by any means. If this damage reduces a target to 0 hit points, it is destroyed, leaving no remains. After you fire black death, it continually smokes for 1 minute, during which it cannot be fired again.
Random Properties. The Black Death has the following random properties:

  • 2 major detrimental properties

Destroying the Black Death. Once all six shots of black death are fired, it crumbles into a fine black powder which scatters itself, flying far away in every direction.
