Fool King's Sword

Magical Trap

Difficulty
1-4

This sword is lodged in a stone inside a closed area. There is a plaque reading "The adventurer to remove this sword from its rocky prison will be the king"

Trigger
Removing the sword requires a DC 12 strength check and triggers the trap
Effect
When the sword is removed, the creature who removed it is affected by hideous laughter(DC 13). In addition, the room begins to crumble. Every round, 2 bricks fall from the ceiling. 2 random creatures inside the room must make a DC 13 Dexterity save or take 1d6 damage. After 3 rounds, the room collapses, creatures still inside take 4d8 bludgeoning damage.
Countermeasures

A DC 15 Wisdom(Perception) check can show the plaque is partially covered in dirt. A DC 12 Intelligence(Investigation) shows that the covered text reads "of fools"

Rewards

The sword is a +1 longsword with a curse that anyone who touches it is affected by the spell, hideous laughter. This can be removed with the remove curse spell.
