A man made out of clay. These animated statues come from the living city of Polythreme, and are born when the King with a Hundred Hearts, himself an ancient and gargantuan clay man, dreams. They are imbued with a sliver of diamond filled with vital essence, giving them life.
Clay men are fully sentient, able to form personalities and opinions, but are naturally simple, diligent, and peaceful people who do what is asked of them with little question. Both because of this and their natural strength and stamina, they make excellent laborers.

Variant: Unfinished Man

When the King with a Hundred Hearts has a nightmare, an unfinished man is born. A clay man with some fundamental part missing, unfinished men may lack the conscience or obedience of their completed brothers, and also typically have a physical absence, such as sight, a voice, or a hand. Each unfinished man is unique; they may be criminals or pirates, but they are not inherently evil. Unfinished men have Intelligence and Wisdom scores of 10, a Charisma score of 8, and can become charmed and frightened.
