Avoidance. When Vayne Novus is subjected to an effect that allows him to make a saving throw to take half damage, he instead takes no damage on a successful saving throw, and only half damage if he fails.

Conjure Sephira (Recharges after a Long Rest). As a bonus action, Vayne Novus magically summons five greatswords made of magical energy. The swords appear in unoccupied spaces within 10 feet of Vayne Novus and act on his turn in the initiative order. Each sword remains for 1 minute, until Vayne dismisses it as a bonus action, or until it or Vayne is reduced to 0 hit points. Each sword has a flying speed of 60 feet, 20 hit points, AC 15, immunity to poison and psychic damage, and resistance to all other damage types.

Innate Spellcasting. Vayne Novus’s spellcasting ability is Charisma (spell save DC 19). He can innately cast the following spells, requiring no material components:
At-will: counterspell
3/day each: fireball, ice storm, lightning bolt

Legendary Resistance (3/Day). If Vayne Novus fails a saving throw, he can choose to succeed instead.

Magic Resistance. Vayne Novus has advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects.

ACTIONS

Multiattack. Vayne Novus makes two unarmed strikes. If he has any sephira conjured, he can make one attack with each of them.

Unarmed Strike. Melee Weapon Attack: +11 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 10 (1d10 + 5) bludgeoning damage.

Sephira. Melee or Ranged Spell Attack: +11 to hit, reach 5 ft. or range 60 ft., one target. Hit: 7 (2d6) force damage.

Mystic Vortice (Recharge 5-6). Vayne Novus draws the sephira into his space. He then makes one of the following attack options:
Inviolable Will. Vayne Novus commands the sephira to bombard a 20-foot radius, 40-foot high cylinder centered on a point within 30 feet with destructive magical energy. Each creature within that cylinder must make a DC 19 Constitution saving throw, taking 35 (10d6) radiant damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.
Tree of Sephira. Vayne Novus combines the sephira into a single massive blade of light and swings it in a wide arc. Each creature in a 60-foot cone must make a DC 19 Dexterity saving throw, taking 35 (10d6) radiant damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one. The blade then separates into its component sephira.
The above assumes that Vayne Novus is using all five sephira to make these special attacks. If any of the sephira have been destroyed, reduce the damage of these attacks by 7 (2d6) for each destroyed sephira. Vayne Novus cannot use Mystic Vortice if he does not have at least two sephira remaining.

LEGENDARY ACTIONS

Vayne Novus can take 3 legendary actions, choosing from the options below. Only one legendary action option can be used at a time and only at the end of another creature's turn. Vayne Novus regains spent legendary actions at the start of his turn.

Drift. Vayne Novus moves up to half his flying speed without provoking opportunity attacks.
Strike. Vayne Novus makes one sephira attack.
Spell (Costs 3 Actions). Vayne Novus innately casts a spell.

These statistics represent Vayne Solidor after empowering himself with manufacted nethicite. His body has been grotesquely deformed by the immense power which now courses through his veins. While his excessively muscled frame is less agile and nimble than it was before, he makes up for his diminished dexterity with tremendous physical strength and formidable magic.

Swords of Light. In this form, Vayne’s most dangerous ability is his power to summon five swords made of pure magical energy. These blades, called the sephira, can fly through the air seemingly of their own volition and strike at his enemies whenever he wills it. Beyond serving as self-guided projectiles, he can combine them together to unleash devastating blasts of magical power.

Variant: No Sephira

If Vayne Novus foregoes summoning the sephira, he has an effective Challenge Rating of 15 (13,000 XP).
