Weapon (Rapier), Legendary (Requires Attunement)

Blessings of The Blood Fire.

- Dance of Death. You can use a Bonus Action to toss this magic sword into the air and speak the Command Words "Fly Phoenix". When you do so, the sword begins to hover, flies up to 45 feet, and attacks one creature of your choice within 5 feet of it. The sword uses your Attack roll and ability score modifier to Damage Rolls.

While the sword hovers, you can use a Bonus Action to cause it to fly up to 45 feet to another spot within 45 feet of you. As part of the same Bonus Action, you can cause the sword to Attack one creature within 5 feet of it.

After the hovering sword attacks for the fourth time, it flies up to 45 feet and tries to return to your hand. If you have no hand free, it will sheath itself. It also ceases to hover if you grasp it or move more than 45 feet away from it.

- Flames of The Phoenix. On a hit, the enemy becomes engulfed in crimson flames. The flames deal 1d8 fire damage overcoming resistances. The target takes an additional 1d8 fire damage at the start of each of its turns. A creature can end this damage by using its action to make a DC 16 Dexterity check to extinguish the flames.

- Life by Blood Fire. While attacking an enemy affected by your "flames of the phoenix" you regain hit-points equal to the amount of fire damage that creature takes until the flames have been extinguished.
