Gigantic centaur-like monsters, dragon ogres are amongst the most ancient of the world's living creatures. Their incredible longevity, as with almost all things supernatural, is the work of the archfiends of the lower planes. Aeons ago, the elders of a tribe of ogres made a pact with the fiendish powers, embracing damnation in order to save themselves from a slow decline into extinction. They were merged with the powerful bodies of dragons, and in return, the entire dragon ogre race put themselves at the command of the Dark Gods. Since that day, the dragon ogres have carved their names across the ages as immortal hybrids who can only die in battle, monstrous beings neither truly ogre or draconic that rouse themselves only in the name of destruction. |
